I've OWNED at Palm Aire since forever (like 1996) we have had problem after problem and this last one takes the cake. The maint fees and taxes KILL you. Our unit was paid in full within a year of purchase, so it's only taxes and maint fees. about $800 a year now)
2 or 3 YEARS ago the resort was hit with a hurricane, our building was damaged (supposidly the roof leaked causing a mess) okay, how long does it take to renovate a 3 story small building? they fixed and even built and opened a NEW 15 story building in the time they STILL haven't fixed the little building, constantly saying it'll be open in a month (a month that lasts 2+ YEARS!) I get NO answers, they just get rude, yet I am required to shovel out money to them and they won't even honor a unit at the resort in exchange for my maint and taxes!
I am out a unit for however long THEY See fit and I still have to pay, with NO COMPENSATION Back! SO they are taking hteir sweet time, it's WRONG. I cannot get anyone who knows ANYTHING to call me, no one responds, it's a MESS of phone number pressing, a circle that ends you in disconnection, the phones are not set to allow you to TALK to ANYONE. the resort directly just says It'll be open soon.
WYNDHAM resort is unreachable. it's REALLY Bad, RUN from this company. search their other ownerships before buying anything. go Marriott, stay away from Fairfield and Wyndham, they STINK and they aren't honest. They tell you all sorts of things when you buy, non of it is true, like the Yacht Club, Free membership, free use to members then it changed overnight and it costs us the SAME as it costs anyone else to use the club. no discounts, nothing.
RIP OFF, the resort has had our OWNED UNIT rented out to OTHERS on more years than not when we arrived (I also notified we were coming) we arrive late at night, get told our unit "is NOT available" so they spend hours and many huffs and puffs (like we are putting THEM out) then they find us a unit to "use" NOT the same quality, smaller, just sucky. and TWO years we went tot his unit, kids in tow, to find people already in it..WE WALKED IN ON THEM! Middle of the night and we were given keys to an occupied unit! MORE THAN ONCE. NIGHTMARES.
THis hurricane thing is unreasonable. I get NO answers. NONE. We own a 2 bedroom unit, paid big money for it and we can't use it and we still have to pay all the fees and taxes. I too questioned the taxes and got no where....they are SERIOUSLY over taxing and over charging for Maint fee's etc. SERIOUSLY. They "answer" your questions during the tours (only what the HIGH PRESSURE sales are told to tell you) then they drop you like a bomb.
Each year they press us to upgrade to "points" which they up the quantity needed for a weeks stay every year, so my points in 1996 wouldn't get me 2 nights now. I own the WEEK (they make it miserable for me too, but won't buy me out!) They push the points. then they can sell the same unit 100 times over!

I am sending my request to EVERY address I can find. you may not be related, but it affects you as well. MAYBE you can assist. this is unreasonable and unethical and I need some answers! waiting YEARS for answers is not acceptable and I will have to see my attorney if I don't get some answers THIS WEEK.
Fairways of Palm Aire, ROYAL PALM, PLEASE CALL ME ASAP. I tried to logon to the website, I retrieved my login info, and tried to reset my password but the secret question doesn't take my answer (I only have ONE answer and it won't work, weird) so I need the password reset so I can reestablish my account).
I also need some DEFINITE ANSWERS this year regarding Fairways of Palm Aire, I mean what is happening? YOU can't tell me it take 3+ YEARS to redo a building when you built a 15+ story building in LESS time than that. WHAT IS UP HERE? It's not fair and why do I have to pay fees on something NO ONE WILL EVEN TALK ABOUT?
I get NO answers and I intend to make a HUGE scene when I am in Florida in a few weeks, maybe I'll get answers then as because while I'm on the phone, no one will answer ANYTHING. WRONG WRONG WRONG. What's up with WYNDHAM Resorts?? I was told to SELL when it was taken over by WYNDHAM as they &*^%$ and I am beginning to believe it, I should have sold. this is HORRIBLE and inexcusable.

I can't call you, no one will connect me to any answers! AND you expect owners to buy additional weeks and to "upgrade" and spend more money with you, HAH! FAT CHANCE! You can't even answer a #$%^ phone call, why WHY should I give you another dime? This is TOTALLY inexcusable. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
