Search TipsI ENJOY TALKING TO OWNERS AND I ENJOY GETTING THEM IN VACATION, I SEND OWNERS TO HAWAII, ST. THOMAS, ALL OVER THE US. AND EVEN INTERNATIONAL BECAUSE WERE PARTNERED WITH RCI. TIME SHARE IS OWNING A PIECE OF PROPERTY, A MORTGAGE IS NOT CHEAP AND EVEN AFTER YOU'VE DONE PAYING IT OF U PAY TAXES ON YOU HOME, SAME THING WITH TIME SHARES. ITS A LIFE TIME COMMITEMENT.
OFFCOURSE A SALES REP IS NOT GOING TO GIVE U THE DETAIL OF A TIMESHARE THROUGH THERE SALES PITCH, THEY DONT EVEN KNOW THE DETAIL, ALL THEY TELL U IS THE NUMBERS, IF YOUR POCKET DOES NOT AGREE WITH THE NUMBERS WALK AWAY. AT FAIRFIELD NOW CALLED WYNDHAM WE HAVE A 6WEEK TRAINING SO THAT WE COULD LEARN ALL ABOUT TIMESHARE SO THAT WE CAN ASSIST THE OWNER, A SALES REP DOES NOT HAVE ALL THAT TIME, EITHER U WANT IT OR U DONT. I KNOW OWNERS WHO ONLY PAY $160 A MONTH FOR THERE SHARE BECAUSE THEY STAYED FIRM AND THEY KNEW THATS ALL THEY CAN AFFORD. SALES IS JUST DOING THERE JOB, NEW OR UNHAPPY OWNERS THINK THAT THE SALES REP LIED BECAUSE THE SALES REP DIDNT MENTION THE BILLION THINGS U NEED TO KNOW ABOUT TIMESHARES, NOR DO THEY EVEN UNDERSTAND, WEATHER U HAVE A MASTERS OR UR JUST RICH, OR YOUR POOR, ITS UP TO YOU TO DECIDE WHAT U CAN HANDLE,
I HAVE A TIMESHARE MYSELF, BEFORE I PURCHASE I KNEW EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO KNOW. I JUST NEEDED THE NUMBERS. ITS THE BEST DECISION I'VE MADE, IM A PLATINUM OWNER I OWN 1,000,000 PTS AND ITS PAID OFF, I STILL PAY MAINTENACE FEES BUT ITS NOT MUCH, PLUS I CONVERT HALF MY PTS TO MAINTENANCE FEES IF IM NOT USING IT FOR THE YEAR, I RENT THEM FOR FRIENDS AND FAMILY, PLUS I TAKE TWO VACATIONS A YEAR.
THE KEY IS UNDERSTANDING WHAT UR BUYING BEFORE U BUY, DONT HATE THE COMPANY FOR UR MISTAKE, SPEAK TO AN OWNER FIRST, SE HOW THEY FEEL. RESEACH IS KEY.

If you really are a salesperson then you know your co-workers lie and steal even if you don't. As an ex-employee I dare you to report one to your boss. Then we will see if you stil trust the company, while looking for another job. The saying is true, Tell them the truth and they will set you free . At least that is what they tried to do with me and at least 10-20 of my co-workers.
So you say "I DONT FEEL BAD AT ALL FOR MAKING SOMEONE REALIZE THEY MESSED UP...AND NOT TO TALK ABOUT SOMETHING THAT WAS THEIR FAULT AND TRY TO BLAME IT ON SOMEONE ELSE..."
Telling lies and using them to steal from the poor is exponentially worse than accidenttally believing a liar. Please when you see the truth don't blame anyone but yourself. You help provide an a small group of rich cheats and liars with the means they need to accomplish thier goals. Now you know the truth. To continue now leaves only o blame.

So you came here to find out the negative about this company AFTER you already started working there because you already know how bad things can get and wanted to make sure you knew what you were getting into but you are there already.

It is a company, they have made millions of dollars legally and professionally. If they are doing things illegal, I hope they DO get in trouble. In case you didn't READ my first comment I was coming on here to see if there was anything bad I should know about the company. So why don't you read my comment in its intirety instead of freaking out first??
As for your comment that they MADE her sign, were they holding a gun to her head?? Did they say if she doesn't sign she is going to jail? NO!!! Why did she go to the presentation anyway?? What did she think timeshare was?? If you step outside of your disgrunteld employee mindset and actually think about what I am saying, it makes since.... WHY DOES SHE GO TO A TIMESHARE PRESENTATION THAT SALESMEN GET PAID TO SELL THINGS AT IF SHE DOESN'T WANT TO BUY?? DID SHE GO FOR THE FREE TICKETS?? ITS A SALES MAN, HE IS GOING TO GET YOU TO BUY!! IT IS HIS JOB!!! EVERY COMPANY DOES THE SAME THING. THE CLOTHING YOUR WEARING, YOU BUY, THE CAR YOUR DRIVING YOU BUY... ARE YOU NOT GETTING THIS???? SHE BOUGHT IT!!! ITS NOT FAIRFIELD'S FAULT!!! ITS HER FAULT FOR SIGNING!!!! END OF STORY!!! Even as a regular person not working for Fairfield I would still say the same thing.
I DONT FEEL BAD AT ALL FOR MAKING SOMEONE REALIZE THEY MESSED UP...AND NOT TO TALK ABOUT SOMETHING THAT WAS THEIR FAULT AND TRY TO BLAME IT ON SOMEONE ELSE...

You just started with Fairfield so DON'T JUDGE ANYONE that has worked there for many more months than yourself or someone who has purchased a timeshare until you find out the truth!
While I agree that the person who purchased the timeshare knowing she didn't have the money to do so, should not have purchased, I'm SURE she was PUSHED into buying it. Some people just can't say no and most TO's don't want to take no for an answer. In fact, you are told to hear that "no" at least 50 times before you give up. Sure, this individual wanted to take these vacations and it sounded like a dream to her, the way we are supposed to sell it, and she was sucked into the Fairfield Timeshare trap, as many people are. I'm sure she regrets it and she doesn't need to hear negative comments about making a stupid decision.
It doesn't matter what your credit is, by the way, you just have to come up with the down payment that meets your credit needs and it's yours! The interest rate if relatively low for someone used to paying high interest on a credit card.
This is all about who gets ripped off, not to talk negatively about a poor decision someone may have made. You will find out and you WILL think the same way. You won't stay long because you can't go to the desk and say "Hey, these people aren't going to buy, they are guests, give me a new tour". That is how all of the people that make money at Fairfield work. The ones you talk to that make money, they know who is going to buy before they take them to their desk or cubby. Don't be fooled, you will be sorry yourself and then you are the one that made a poor decision!

happy Fairfield Owner

I am amazed that people that are on disability, and having credit problems, would accept an offer for a sales presentation. HELLO? And then, to try to lay blame on the company or sales process..... what were you doing there in the first place?
Fairfield has more than met our expectations. I just want to say that the comments that I read here must be from a disgruntled employee and a person that should have known what their financial capability was, and not bought. We love Fairfield, it's employees are awesome, and we are happy. Thanks for listening.

Fairfield's sales pitch (as in most timeshares) is to sell a "dream" and that the sales people have to make the guests believe they need it. And the sale is all about TODAY! Once a guests walks out the door, the offer is gone. Yeah, right. The sales rep just won't get the commission.
By Florida law, the sales rep and contract is supposed to inform the buyer that you have ten business days to back out of the deal. (Don't quote me on the exact amount of days, but I have the sales manual somewhere if needed to verify.)Most reps don't tell the buyers that you can cancel, however, because the reps won't get their commission. A cancellation hurts the sales reps numbers as well(as in sales/tours), and timeshare is all about the numbers.
There are so many timeshares now that you can't rent them out on your own unless it is to someone you know. And I was trained that it was against the law to tell buyers that the timeshare was an "investment" and could be used as "rentals". Reps were told we can pitch the vacation points as "investments in your family vaations"; but not as a purchase for profit.
I will gladly cooperate with any legal suit against Fairfield. Fairfield deceives its customers as well as its employees. Its all about the numbers ... and I mean $$$ numbers!
