We bought Fairfield/Wyndham Resort Points(308,000)one year ago with many promises from the salesman, Justin Zennof, at their Sedona, Az location. We were assured that the flexibility of the points system allow us to choose different locations from year to year to vacation with our children. We would not be locked into just the Sedona location.

We soon found it is next to impossibe to book any size room , anywhere, even being complete flexible with the week. Upgrades do not seem to exist. Areas we were interested in going are booked 2 years in advance. one year after the purchase of our points, we are unable to even get a two bedroon condo at the facility we puchased at.

I have called continually for three months, leaving messages with the salesman, Jusitn Zenoff, and his manager with not one returned phone call. this of course led me to believe that we had been intentionally defrauded.

There is no way that the salesman, his manager, or the company did not know about the "over sold state" of the product they were selling. Not to mention the apparent lack of trading power. There seems to be plenty of testimonials about how poor their product performs.

I welcome any infomation on any class action law suits or any other method anyone has used to successfully get out from under this timeshare.

You called trying to get into the carribean for easter break and there was availability but you did not want to go to the places available. So much for supreme flexibility. I tried to help you and you want to post that i lied and deceived you. shame on you.

Check renting before you buy

Before you buy a timeshare you should check the internet to see how much a unit rents for. Do not believe the sales staff, they will tell you an overinflated rental price. And you can rent at any resort without having to try to transfer points or weeks. Also, you don't have to make monthly maintenance payments even though you only use the unit 1 or 2 weeks a year.

Not everyone is able to plan 13 months in advance. this past year I booked 7 months in advance at my so called home resort. I was able to get only a small one bedroom unit while travelling with my husband and 2 children. So much for the perks of VIP gold. I bought this timeshare because it was strongly marketed with the RCI affilaation and was told that we would be 99% possibility of getting resort of our choice anywhere , anytime using RCI . This is what I am unable to do as fairfield neglets to mention thir lack of trading power.

I see on here all to often that owners say fairfield resorts are booked 2 years in advance ,being a fairfield owner fo 15 years this is just not true. You can only make reservations 13months in advace at your home resort and ten months for all other resorts. i have not lost one single point in 15 years of ownership. Its time people that buy from the company read the owners guide that explains it all..

I read your complaint, and it doesn't make sense.

First, you can only book 10 months in advance on Wyndham resorts, 13 months at your home resort. So there is no way that the resort is booked out at 2 years. I have never had a problem booking my vacations. But try to plan ahead so that you can book as soon as the booking window opens up.

I purchased 168K points resale on ebay(at a fraction of developer prices) and I have had no problem using them. I have owned them since 2005 and have gone on many vacations. Try checking out the Timeshare Users Group (www.tug2.net) and the Yahoo Fairfield group and learn about how get the best use of your points.

You can sell your points, but it will only net you about $3000, so learn how to enjoy.
