In the Bible, in 1 John 3 vs 15-17, the writer asks; How does the love of God abide in you, if having the worlds wealth, seeing a brother in need, you harden your heart to him?

Galatians 6 vs 2 instructs us to "Lift one anothers burdens thus fulfilling the Law of Christ.

In the book of James (Jesus biological brother) he states" Faith without works is dead, if seeing a brother or sister naked, hungry and destitute, so ask them to leave saying be warm and filled without meeting their need.  He asks "How is this profitable?

I have been unable to work due to a severe heart condition since 2007.  So in accordance with Matthew 7 vs. 7-11 Jesus instructs us to ask, seek and knock.
So Ive written several "Mega Churches" seeking help as a brother in Christ.

Most ignored my plea altogether, and even had the audacity to ask ME for money; to partner with them!

Partnerships are based on equal exchange except when it comes to the church.  You give, they take.  Dont get me wrong, Im sure they share the word of God slanted for emotional moments of "feel good" scriptures.

However, when a person who walks the walk, offering true Christian brotherhood to all who you encounter, falls into trial, why is it the church shuns them?  I believe its the spirit of shame that motivates.

I wrote these churches with memberships of 10,000 or greater, as I know my need is great ($50,000) hoping my need would be presented to the children of God {The congregations) asking them to seek the will of God, and IF led to make an offering, collect it in their presence, lift it in thanksgiving to our Lord, deduct 15% as my offering, and forward the rest.

I then challenged them to ask their members to offer $1 dollar extra each week for a whole year.  In some cases (Like Joel Osteen)  They'd have over $1.5 Million to help people with.  Or collect 1 can good from each member a week.  How many people would that feed?

In the end, none of these churches helped.  I now face potential loss of my home, I have no means of getting around to seek the help I need, my utilities are in disconnect, and daily needs like soap, toothpaste go unmet.

I listed this complaint not against the memberships, but an indictment against the leadership.  While sharing Gods word is a good thing, unless you help the needy, how can they believe God loves them when you dont help them?

what would you do as a pastor

AUTHOR: Casey from KC - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, October 04, 2015

You indicate that you are a Christian, therefore you have to factor in that there's a real enemy that we have. what is this enemy stirs up a 1000 people to contact Faith Church because it's a large church and they are all asking for 50k 75k etc.you have thousands of people in your congregation dinner there to draw off of your pastoral heart.how can you rationalize paying attention to a thousand others who are not interested in your message or your heart.what if you don't know there's a thousand people asking questions in the secretary gets the emails and just ignore them because they're so many and she knows some of them are fraudulent.

what if they are preparing a video response to these 1000 people which has a unique financial plan to help all of them but they just haven't finished it yet.what if they are praying and fasting and asking God what to do because there's a thousand and you take it personally because you don't care or know that there's 999 others.all of that just to say one thing. what would you do if you were the pastor. you absolutely do not not not not not know what you would do if you were the pastorbecause there's an unlimited variation of circumstances that are going on that you are not privy to.

Brilliant!

This was brilliant!  I'm glad you did this and I'm glad you reported on what happened.  You've exposed these hypocritical scam artists for what they are.

And for the people who called these "men of God" - PLEASE!  These are no men of God.  Read your Bibles and check out how much they're twisting it.  Men of God don't twist the Bible.

"Scam" rebuttal

AUTHOR: King - ()

POSTED: Thursday, September 05, 2013

Are you kidding me?! You are talking about a man, whose only job is to pastor a church, a head of a multimillion dollar facility. Where do you think this money comes from? Faith Church is ALWAYS doing what they can to change lives for the better. There is a food pantry in both campuses, there was just a missions trip to Normandy school district where a big party was thrown for the youth of the area, the same kind of event a little while earlier in Florida, a party bus so that the youth from sunset hills can have a way to get to church on Wednesdays, need I go on? My advice to you is learn a little before you puke words onto a website, because though it is alot to ask for, look at what has been done, what is being done, and what is to be done.

This guy is looking for a $50.000 pay off. You are know better than the people you are accusing. You want to use Scripture? Jesus warned about false prophets like Joel Osteen, but he also warned about people like you: 'Beware of false prophets which come unto in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves" (Matt 7:15). You are not fooling anybody Pal. You are just as much a scam artist as the people you are accusing in the Rip Off Report.

You're a Mooch!

AUTHOR: Gary - (USA)

You wrote:

First off, your carelessness and ignorance of God's Word, along with your chutzpah, arrogance and presumption, is only exceeded by your Scripture_forbidden_backbiting!

Those words in Matthew 7, which you probably used Google to find because you are too unfamiliar with God's Word to be able to find it on your own, were spoken by Jesus, instructing people in one way to approach God (NOT men).

Your failure is YOUR failure and yet, being a whiner, pouter, complainer and critic, you reject your own responsibility and want to pin it on others.

I don't know David Crank (could not have identified him if I saw a picture), but I know a blaspheming, deceived and deceiving critic when I hear one!

It's no wonder you're in such a bad way when you ignore every Scriptural admonition that tells you how to live.

You won't find any Scripture admonishing you to resort to begging but you will find hundreds of Scriptural promises telling you what to believe and to put your trust in God.

Arrogantly, you IGNORE them all and blame others for your own failure. Now, of course, you'll deny that, twist focus and again BLAME OTHERS.

I doubt that you have any concept of what trusting God or walking by faith is and you're not going to get it until you quit pointing your guilty finger at others and finding fault with them instead of looking in the mirror and finding the true source of your problems.

Here's a clue. Approach the Bible as though it's written TO YOU--not as a tool or a hammer for you to use to attack others.

Pointing your finger at others simply shows everyone that you don't understand HOW to even approach the Bible.

Next time you communicate with any church, instead of telling them what they ought to do, why don't you ask them what they think you ought to do.

Gee... a novel thought, huh?

Facts to help

AUTHOR: Ed - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 29, 2011

I know people who as asked for assistance and been denied also for basic food, utiltities, rent.  But they bring in the dollars.

Consider the pastor who claims he knows Joel Osteen, yet a few weeks live on air with Joel, Joel tried to introduce him but didn't know his name and had to ask him who he was and from what church.  He asked him several times, yet David claims they are good friends.   (Joel does promos with other pastors all the time who support his ministry - that's how they got the promo with Joel on their website).   I think Joel's mother used to "know of" David's father.

Then on live tv David begins to mock and make fun of Joel,  several times, the audience was in a state of shock the first couple of disrespectful mocks, then a few gave  a chuckle  and Joel tried to recover stating he didn't know he blinked his eyes so much, but you could tell he was hurt.

Then look at the two million dollar homes David owns  ..  http://i52.tinypic.com/1zyzlw8.png   and http://i52.tinypic.com/1195ug8.png  (the second is in a trust established by the Cranks)  and probably if research continues he owns more than this home on the street and other locations around the US.

We almost have confirmations of his jet, airplane and yacht's he owns millions of dollars worth.
Guess he is trying to be like Joyce Meyer who he claims to be great friends with.

Im not against Pastors having nice things, but for a single small family two million dollar homes is a lot.  It wouldn't be bad if it was one 250 or 300,000 home but two million dollar homes?

When you call the ministry to comment, on these things they offer no response.  Call Joel's ministry and they don't even know who the Cranks are.

So what else are they fudging numbers for attendance, do they physically count?  I don't know

You Don't Get It. Churches Are in Business to Make Money

AUTHOR: Helene - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, September 18, 2010

Why aren 't you getting your SSI and Medicaid benefits if this heart condition is so disabling that you can NOT work?

And why do you expect a church --especially one affiliated with Joel Osteen to GIVE YOU MONEY? WHY?  What have you done for them to endear yourself to anyone that they would want to just pay you $50,000?

Maybe you can go to the emergency room when your heart bothers you and have a proper diagnosis and then they will refer you to a teaching clinic where you can get indigent treatment. Try to find a hospital affiliated with a university where you can use your illness to teach new doctors and maybe nurses too.

To sit on your a*s and demand money from ---a Church?

You are extremely uninformed about what churches really do.

For the record, they are for-profit, private social clubs.

They do not hand out big sums of money like that. Not to you or anyone like you.

And you need to weigh other options.

There are government and other social services programs for people like you.

This is the real world.

No scam.

AUTHOR: Greg - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, June 14, 2010
One final note; I didn't ask for cash outright.  I asked for help.  If the congregants had replied in the negative, I also sought a loan with my home as collateral.  I cannot get one from any financial institution as I am unable to work.

So I included that as a possible option, explaining I would repay the amount once Disability was awarded.  However, it must be understood that after fighting for 3 years, said fight could last an additional 24 more months.

Finally, I gave contact information for my attorney, my congressional Representative who was inquiring on the status of my case, and local ministers whom I'd worked with in service to our Lord.

Rebuttal of allegation of scam.

AUTHOR: Greg - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, June 14, 2010
Since writing my original comments, while my circumstances have not changed, my opinion of David Crank has.  After writing him, his ministry stepped forward and payed my telephone bill.

he also went to Haiti and came back quoting 1 John 3 vs 17 and James 2 vs 15-18 vowing to continue the good work he began in Haiti.  I praise the Lord he has done so.

I am still facing extreme hardship, which is why I wrote Joel Osteen and others with ministries of 5000 or more members.  [Joel Osteen has 30,000 members.]  I asked him and 40 other ministries to present my need to the people, asking them to seek God in how to respond, and IF they are led to help, ask just $1-$2 dollars from each person.

My request was never carried out, with many quoting "Tax laws" as reason for not assisting.  [501-(c) 3] No offers of scriptures to lean on [Charles Stanley, David Jeremiah and John Hagee] none offered ANY help, despite sharing evidence my need is genuine.

So I apologize to Brother Crank, and I challenge Brother Osteen to consider asking his congregants to bring one canned good a week for a year, or one extra dollar a week.  How many people would that help in the name of the Lord?

Sad

AUTHOR: Mandy - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, June 14, 2010

Apparently because this person didn't get the large sum of money they were asking for- the punishment was to smear the name of these Men of God and their Churches online.  The author said he sent letters to churches (plural) with memberships of 10,000, asking for $50,000.  This isn't a person in need, this is a scam artist.

Members of the church trust that their offerings go to the work of God and it is up to the leadership to avoid scammers. These scammers that have no problem ripping off money from the church for their drug and/or gambling habits.   When someone is in need they usually don't come asking for $50,000.
