I purchased 5 Novelty IDs from the website called Fake ID Guru, having read reviews from sites such as Underground-Reviews.com. However, after sending more than $500.00 through Western Union to the company, I never received the product. In addition, one week after I paid, the website fakeidguru.com no longer existed, and so I checked the Underground-Reviews.com, and the name had changed to www.noveltyidfactory.com. The website is exactly the same as Fake ID Guru's, and therefore I believe that this review site has been set up by this company to scam you. DO NOT purchase these Novelty IDs from Novelty ID Factory. They do not deliever and they do not answer e-mails.

Credit Cards and Western Union

AUTHOR: Bob - (U.S.A.)

I'd have to agree that anyone asking for WU payments is most likely a scam. Good way to lose money.

The problem with doing charge backs on a credit card is, even if you WIN the chargeback you get a negative on your credit score. That's right, they actually penalize you for filing a charge back even if it is totally righteous and you have been scammed. I'd recommend trying to work it out with the company first before filing any kind of chargeback.

Also, doing business with any company not based in the general area of where you live probably isn't a great idea unless they are an established company that has been around for a while.

#3 Consumer Suggestion

WU Transfers = Trouble

AUTHOR: April - (U.S.A.)

If you search for scams on the internet, 99% of these "supposed" companies ask for funds to be sent to them via Western Union. If a company does not accept your credit card as payment of their products, you should steer clear and find a reputable company that will accept your credit card as payment.

If you purchase an item or items and do not receive them, if you have paid via credit card, you can always do a chargeback with your credit card provider to get the money credited back to you if the company refuses to do so. Keep in mind that companies asking for payments via Western Union are almost always fraudulent and you will never see your money again.

My advise to anyone purchasing via the internet, ALWAYS use your credit card. If you do not have one, avoid purchasing online altogether. This will save you a lot of headaches in the end.
