The Portage store is one of the highest stores in our district in sales. Yet, we get our payroll cut more & more. Their reason is because "we don't make enough money".

They work our manager into the ground because he is salary & they don't want to pay for an employee to be there. The 3rd key is supposed to have 30 hours minimum & barely breaks 20. The manager/AM are alone most days until 5 or 6 PM, leaving no time for lunch or bathroom breaks.

I've been here for almost 6 years now and I'm lucky to get 12 hours. Anyone who has worked with me says I'm a great employee & yet the company is trying to practically fire me with these low hours. Our bank closes at 4. We need change. If the boss is alone until after 5 or 6, they can't get change. So basically, the company is telling one of us to work off the clock to get change for the manager.

Family Dollar had food resets for our district & most of our AM's were gone for 3 months. So, the other employees worked as much as we could. I was pulling in 40+ hours a week with no breaks, no days off & no complaining. These people should be happy we are willing to put our lives on hold for them.

The one Altoona manager is past his 60's a & works alone most of the time. One customer found him passed out due to blood sugar & no break to fix it. The one Cresson manager was pregnant & had to unload a truck by herself because of payroll cuts. She miscarried. Is this how a "famliy friendly" business should act?
