 I was also ripped off by wal-mart family mobile. I purchased a phone on a promotion and was suppose to receive $100 in bill credits starting 2 months ago.
  I have called and spoken to "supervisors" over the last two months and have been told id receive calls back with none to come.
  Making things worse my bill has yet to be fixed and they claim they can not adjust it.
  This service also has none of the available features most phone services provide such as 411, and IF you can get through to an operator, of the five iv spoken to only one spoke English well enough to be able to understand the conversation.

DO NOT BUY WAL-MART FAMILY MOBILE

I also purchased a phone and plan from Family Mobile. In addition to not having a 411, when I called to speak with customer service I would always seem to get someone who spoke broken English, and they had trouble understanding me. Also there were times that I would call a business or company locally and leave a message or speak with someone there. When I spoke to them I would hear laughing in the background or the person I spoke to spoke broken English. I would call back a couple of days later and asked if they got my message and they would say that they didn't, or they wern't aware that I called. So that tells me that I was speaking to someone from Family Mobile and not the local business or company I intended to call. Also when I would speak to anyone on the cell phone there would be a loud echo back when I would say something. Like if I said Hello, I would hear my voice in the background say Hello? I cancelled the phone service and received a bill in the mail saying that I needed to pay the remaining month of usage. Fair Enough. So I paid and then recieved another bill the next month. I called and told them that I cancelled their service and no longer have the phone that I purchased the day I opened the account. I was told by a man named Abu something rather that he would look into it. I am still receiving bills from Family Mobile monthly!!
