I sent in 2 checks totalling $140.95 with a biography, photo, and three poems. I have the canceled checks plus the postage fee of $14.40 for the entire package.
I have called Famous Poets to check on the progress, and have been given a number of excuses and told it's not finished or you should have it next month. At the initial entry time I was entered in a contest to possibly winning $25,000.00,and or $5,000.00. I havent received any further information in this regard yet.
I'm mad as hell and want my money back as well as my photo, poems and bio. It's been well over one year now that Famous Poets Society collected $155.35 and evidently ripped me off.

Famous Poets:Slow but Sure

I sent my poem, bio, and currency to Famous Poets during the Summer of 2008. I did not hear from them until 2009. My poem and bio appeared in their 2009 publication as part of a collection of around 50 (or more) poems. Apparently, they are slower than advertised.
In all fairness, I did change addresses between sending out the poem and receiving the book along with a CD that included a baritone maestro reading my classic Ode to a Sunday School Teacher.
The means by which I received this first published print effort is not the best wayto go about getting published. It is not looked upon as something that counts toward published in print status by serious evaluators of writing talent. Still, I possess a copy of this book and love the sight of my name in print.
