Father & Son Moving & Storage ripoff theives rude dihonest drunks inexperienced physically and verbally violent distructive threatning upsetting abusive scam Denver Colorado

I used Father & Son moving company in Denver Colorado. I called them a week ahead of time to get a price quote. I spoke with the manager.

We decided how much it would cost. The price was set. The manager quoted me $236.00. I would have three movers and they would move me from a townhome to a house (across town).

I was over at the New house waiting for them to arrive with my belongings while I had a friend of mine stay at the townhouse to make sure these guys were doing their job.

I am a single Mom with a young child and a baby, that is why I hired a moving company. My friend had contact with me at all times with his cell phone.

First of all the moving guys showed up hours late. (the hours that they were missing, I had to pay for) Then they brought a case of beer into the townhouse while they were packing my stuff.

My friend called me and told me that he was going to leave the townhouse for a few minutes and go get some lunch and would be right back.

When he got back, the moving guys were smoking in the townhouse and putting cigarettes out on the carpeted floor. I could not go over there because I had the children with me.

Ten hours later, when it was dark outside the moving guys finally showed up at the house I was at. The move was supposed to only take 3 to 4 hours.

My friend said that they kept going on beer runs and took a two hour lunch break. So, they finally show up at the house I am at and demand that I pay them $400.00 more. I asked them for what.

They said because it took longer then they thought it was going to take and it required more work. I told them that I already payed the set rate and I was not going to pay anymore.

They then shut the back of the moving truck, locked it up, lit a cigarette, opened a beer and told me that they were not going to release my stuff until I pay them $400.00 more.

I refused again. Then they started getting into their truck to drive off with my stuff! I stopped them and tried to talk the price down but they would not budge.

I told them that I would not pay and that I was going to call the police. They then got on their cell phone and called their boss.

They handed the phone to me and their boss told me that his guys said that I was giving them grief and that I don't deserve to get my stuff back.

And because his moving guys told him that I was giving them grief he was going to charge me another $100.00 on top of the extra $400.00 dollars that he wanted.

I told him that I would pay (that is the only way that I was going to get my stuff back)

I also told him that I was going to call the BBB, Tom Martino (trouble shooter in Colorado) and all the local news channels.

He then proceeded to call me some bad names and then hung up on me. He called his workers back, I don't know what was said.

I gave the moving guys my credit card (which had all my rent money and grocery money for my children on it for that month) they weren't even going to take that!

They wanted Cash, I did not have cash. They told me to go to the bank and pull the money out.

My bank does not allow me to pull that much money out at once and I am supposed to keep a certain amount of money in my bank at all times.

It took a good half and hour of begging them to take my credit card. When I gave them my credit card it cleaned my account out dry!

Then the moving guys got into a huddle and started to giggle. Just so you know, they are supposed to take your belongings into your house.

They started unloading boxes and THROWING them onto my front yard. I have many expensive sentimental breakables!! You could just hear the glass shadering!!

Then they dropped my furniture on the street! They broke a few pieces of furiture, that cost thousands of dollars! My stuff was scattered all over the place!

I had furniture in the street on the side walk and in my front yard! Then they got into their truck, flipped me and my children off and got into their truck and drove off!

Here I am standing with a baby in my arms and a little child crying because his stuff is scattered all over the yard!!

I had a hard time moving this stuff into my house and it took me many many hours to get it all into the house! I had to stop strangers on the street to help me get the big furniture in!!

The children were crying the whole time, needing my attention!! The next day I went over to the townhouse to clean. As soon as I pulled up to the townhouse the front door was wide open.

They didn't even shut the door!! When I stepped inside I noticed that two whole rooms were not even packed or moved.

There was beer cans all over the place and cigarette butts burned into the carpet! I had to call a friend with a truck to help me move all this stuff.

It took many truck loads. The carpet was ruined, so I lost my security deposit on the townhome, which was over a thousand dollars.

And the landlord went after me for distruction of property. I finally started unpacking the boxes in my new house to see what all was broke.

(they charge you for every box that they pack and move) I opened up over a dozen boxes that were completely EMPTY!! That I payed for!

And almost all of my glass, china, crystal and porcelin was broke. Some of that stuff was passed down to me from my Great Great Great Grandma and can never be replaced.

Then I noticed that some of my things were missing (CD's, Stereos, Jewlery). I didn't dare call the company back because of the way they treated me. I was scared to.

I did call the BBB, Tom Martino and the local news channels. I ended up paying $700.00 for them to break thousands of dollars worth of my stuff and steal from me!!

I wish I would have just moved it myself. I am now scared to ever use any moving company ever again!
