FedEx Ground The package that Fedex lost was not worth investigating !!!!! Yes you heard that right!! JACKSONVILLE Florida

I do check this website time to time and it is very unfortunate that this time I checked AFTER I got into this situation. Probably because I always thought FedEx was a company with a good reputation even though I have been more a USPS kind a person. Well, my nightmare began when I sent a cashier's check and a picture to my relatives in Canada. Since I wasn't in any rush and to cut costs I used FedEx Ground instead of the express service.

I mailed the envelope on July 16, 09 and it was promised to arrive in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada on July 22. When it did not arrive on July 22 I called FedEx to inquire the status. I was told that it has been delayed pending clearance. That came as a surprise because their system showed that it had arrived in Mississauga,CA FedEx location since July 21 @ 6:04 pm. They assured me that it was scheduled to be delivered the next day on July 23. Again, since I was not in any rush I did not make a big deal out of this. Conveniently, shortly after my call I received an email stating custom clearance pending".
On July 23 @ 8:30 am I received a frantic call from my relative. FedEx had delivered the envelope but guess what... It had nothing inside. She received an empty FedEx envelope. The envelope that she received it was cut at the bottom and re taped. I started calling FedEx and they said they were sorry for the inconvenience and they will investigate. Today, on July 24 @ 11:30 am I received a call from Robert D. from Pittsburg, PA a so called trace agent. He knew so well what was going on in this case as he called me in Florida to schedule a pick up in Canada. He had no idea where the package was originated and where it was supposed to be delivered and that I was the shipper. They were going to pick up the empty FedEx envelope so it could be inspected. I asked him what was the next step and he told me that there was nothing they could do and they will not investigate because my package was not worth enough for them to spend the time to investigate????

This is outrageous. They take no responsibility on losing my package and do nothing to find it?? So much for their 100% satisfaction guarantied statement. I was worth enough to FedEx to take my money for the service that they did not deliver.

Right now I am short $ 1600 as I have to wait 90 days for my bank to return the money or to reissue the cashier's check and all this THANKS to FedEx. I will never ever use their service again and I will make use everyone knows about my ordeal.
