My name is Stacey a former employee of Sams Club who used to work form them in 2002. I was a cashier at Sams Club store #4707 in Overland Park,KS and back in October 2002 I complained to my manager John Fiesta about them firing me for my doctors note to return to work. I was fired from SamsClub because one of my manager Jesus said that I had shortages on my cash register and one of my other managers Pam said that my scan rate was not up to their standards in items per minute.
I took my complaint to one of the other managers Chad and he still agreed with John Fiesta on the reason I was terminated from Sams Club. I never stole anything from the store nor did I committ any crime by law that I could not go back into that Sams Club in Overland Park, KS. So not being happy with Mr. John Fiesta's response I took the complaint to his boss Steve Schroilgen or however you spell that last name. He told me that the employees at Sams Club where uncomfortable around me and told me that I could shop in any other Sams Club except the one I used to work in Overland Park, KS. I was stillnot satisfied with his response and took my complaint to Sams Club Corporate office.
I talked to Mrs.Felicia Collins on the phone and she said the reason why I was not allowed in Sams Club store #4707 was that there was an altercation or a fight on the store premises.
I touched no one nor did I threaten any Sams Club employee at all. I simply had a disagreement about them firing me without good cause with the doctors note to return to work. I don't think it is coming from any of the other employees I used to work with at all. It is only coming from John Fiesta, John's market manager Steve, Chad, and the other manager and no one else. I asked John Fiesta's market manager as for the names of any employees who felt uncomfortable around me and he could not give me any names at all. I am sure that if any of those SamsClub employees where not conmfortable with me they would have confronted me directly and told me and then warned me to stay away from them.
I have never had a problem with any of the Sams Club employees that I worked with the exception of some of the managers. I believe that I was barred from shopping at this Sams Club in Overland Park, KS because of my former employment there and not as a customer of Sams Club. I can shop at any oher Sams Club just not the one I used to work with in Overland Park, KS. i also believe that I was discriminated against due to my race and wronful terminated from this Sams Club for protesting them firing me for a doctors note to return to work.
I have called Mrs.Collins back and she has not returned my phone call so I guess this means that as a customer of Sams club that I should be treated equally. Do they bar every ex-employee or current employee of Sams Club who has a discrimination complaint or customer complaint against the company without any criminal evidence? Sams Club has no criminal evidence on file nor did I ever committ a crime or violated any of their policies for addressing my grievances as an ex-employee or my rights to shop in their club in Overland Park, KS if I am within that general area. According to what Mrs. Collins told me on the phone I not allowed ever at the Sams Club in Overland Park, KS again for whatever reason.
