On 9-25, I was contacted by Jasmine Vega from Ferrandino and Sons. They needed some locks addressed at a Deb's store. On 9-27, I did the repairs, and sent them an invoice for the sgreed upon price of $85, along with my W9 and certificate of insurance. Two months later, I hadn't received payment, so I called them on 11-29 and talked with Jasmine. She said she would check into it, and call me back later that day. She never called. On 12-3 I called them and talked to Jasmine again. She said she would check on it. She did call back this time, and told me they never received my certificate of insurance. Well, I had the fax confirmation from the first time, but I sent it again anyway. I told her to verify that she got it and call me. She never called back. On 12-13 i called again. After several tries (I got cut off twice) I talked to Jasmine again. She said my certificate of insurance was insuficcent, so they couldn't pay me. I carry a two million dollar policy (in addition to being bonded), the same comprehensive policy I've had for over a decade, which has been just fine for the twenty or so other maintenance companies I work for. I told her not to worry about any further work with them, but they had better pay me what they owe me. I asked for a supervisor, and wound up talking with Barbara. She listened, and assured me should would "escalate' it and get me my check. Well, it's ten days since then, and almost three months since I did the work, and no check yet. If they ever pay, I'll update this report. But I would advise any new contractors, if this company contacts you, you had better get written confirmation from them that they have received and accepted your certificate of insurance BEFORE you do any work for them.

They also promised to pay us for snow removal but now will not answer my e-mails or phone calls! They talk big about insurance and wanting legitimate contractors but they don't want to pay enough for anyone to make any money except them! They got me for $1277.00!
