The check was in the amount of $5,985.00, drafted from the Wells Fargo Bank, NA California, with the instructions to pay the Canadian Tax Office $4,985.00 once the check cleared.
I took the check to my financial instution to see if this was legit. They took the check and said that it was a fraud.
I called Lend A Hand Foundation, Inc. which the check was drafted from. I was informed that this is a scam and that they are not affilated with Fidelity Finance Company.
With times as hard as this it is easy to be drawn into a scam. I hope this will help others.
