No bank processes ACH transactions on a Saturday. You can submit a payment over the weekend, but it is held to the next banking day, which would be Monday.
" If payment is really due on a Friday, don't falsely state it is due on a Saturday. "
If your payment date is on a Saturday, by law it is due by close of business Monday, but they can't arbitrarily change the due date. If you have 12 other credit cards, I'm suprised that you have not noticed this before.

You seem to have worked yourself up into a lather for nothing. Good luck finding a different bank that doesn't follow the exact same rules.

What type of payment?

POSTED: Friday, December 14, 2012As for the damage to your credit. The first negative mark on your report is for being 30 days late, so 1 day(or even 29 days) will not effect your credit report in a single way. Now, if you were delinquent and this payment put you beyond the 30 days then yes you could be reported late...but then again you had 29 days to make the payment and not be reported so they would really not be the ones to blame in that case.
Figuring that all your payments were not delinquent, the question is were you charged a late fee. If you were charged a late fee when you talked to them what was their reason for it.
