I am writing to warn others about this company. Thanks to ripoffreports.com my mother was NOT scammed by this company.

What I don't understand is why this is still going on, when all I've read about this company has been bad. How can you shut things like this down? Not everybody has a computer to check these things out with. Who helps them?

According to the United States Postal Inspectors, in my area, there are businesses like this that open up, and shut down, under different names. If the loss of money is in the thousands, they are not apt to repond,until that goes into the millions. If there are not enough people who file claims, which has to go into at least a million, it's the same, no responce. They have gone through budget cuts, under the recent Bush Administration, and do not have funds available to respond to each and every case. "High Pressure" from the public is the key. If it is not brought to their attention, in this manner, it gets set aside, as they move on to more severe cases. I am not saying this is right, ethical or justifiable. This is the "real world." A way that you might be able to change this is to make sure and report your Mother's case to the Postal Inspector's anyway. Then check with all avenues of Federal Law Enforcement, which handle these cases, like the Federal Trade Commision, F.B.I., and even your State Governemt.

It is not necessary to own a computer to file any claim. You have your Public Library at your disposal, a lot of people don't even know, their local police departments have professionals, that can advice them. Your standard phone book will also have numbers to all levels of law enforcement mentioned previously. You can call Information 1-(your area code)-555-1212, and ask for a number, like The Federal Trade Commission. Once you call them, they will give you access to more information.

The reason Financial Resources and the others get away with so much, is because people do not have the patience or willingness to do the research, you just did now. This is tediuos and you do not always get instant results. In addition, some consumer divisions will not give you the full case report, and will not update you on cases in progress. Please file your report with the necessary Postal Inspector of your division/region, and continue reporting as necessary.

I hope this answers your question, and thank you for sharing your information. It's good to know, at least your Mother didn't get "Ripped-off".
