I have a return authorization but I'm afraid if I return the item it will only cause me more grief and I do like the camera.
I wonder how many people are getting ripped off by this procedure. Its only a couple dollars per customer but adds up to big money for Fingerhut. Anyone buying from Fingerhut beware.

First, you must log into the website with your correct username and password. Than you must go to the "my account" link, and click on "make a payment"
If you are using a credit card, you will need to make sure that you choose credit card, or if it's a debit card, you need to choose which kind. Keep in mind that if you have a dual use card, use the "debit" card drop down window. Next, the information in the address box MUST match the information that your bank has on file for that method of payment. If the address in the box is not correct, your payment will be declined.
The expiration date of your card is very important and needs to be filled in completly, i.e... 01/2010..do not put in just the last two numbers of the expiration year, or you will sit in front of that computer until the cows come home and your payment will never process. You must also include the CVV number that's on the back of your card..or the same thing will happen. If you are using somebody else's credit card,be sure you have authorization from them, and all the information is filled in properly. Fingerhut's website does not store your card, or bank information, so this process must be repeated each time you make a payment online.
Fingerhut has an automated phone in payment system, and this can be used by the customer 24/7 BUT..you must have a method of payment on file in order to use the automated system. You can call customer service to have the information placed into the automated system, after that is done, you can call at anytime to make your payment. There is a one dollar processing fee to use the website, or the automated system to make your payment. If you insist on a live representitive to take your payment by phone, there is a 3 dollar processing fee, which is still a lot cheaper than a late fee, and causing your account to become delinquent.
Fingerhut also offers a scheduled payment program. You can call customer service, have your payments scheduled to post to your account every month without having to call back. There is a 3 dollar fee for the first payment, but all scheduled payments after the first one, there is no fee for. Fingerhut also allows customers to change their payment due dates,to better suit the customers financial needs. You can call customer service for assistance with that too.
Now...onto your issue with returning the camera. If this is a digital camera, you must return it within the 30 day home trial period, as posted on the returns information in the catalog and online returns policy. Digital cameras,pc games, electronic games, generators and computers have specific and strict return policies, and after the 30 day trial period, if you return this item, there will be no credit issued, or an exchange done. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer if you have questions or problems with the item. Fingerhut has a list of manufacturers that we work with, and if you can not find the phone number, you may call customer service for that information.
