I recently attempted to cancel an order that I placed with Fingerhut. The item has been in a "Requested Cancel" status for days now. I checked with Customer Service and they said that it remains in that status because the item that I ordered is shipped directly from a third-party vendor. The item that I ordered has a very large shipping charge, so I was concerned that the cancellation request never got to the vendor. So I asked Customer Service to simply make a phone call to verify that the cancellation request received the cancellation request. Customer Service refused to do so. It seems to me that Fingerhut doesn't care if you are forced to pay $100 or more in shipping charges when you make an error in your order. Even when the cancellation request is made less than 10 minutes after the order was placed. Shame on you, Fingerhut!
