i am completely dissatisfied with the home warranty service that i purchased from first american. i bought the warranty in case something went wrong and i needed help.
well monday, 19th 2007 i initiated a claim because my upstairs tub was leaking into the floor below. first american reps assured me that someone would be out by the end of the day tuesday, and gave me the contractor phone #. well, no one showed up and no one at the contractor ever answered my phone calls or returned my messages.
i called first american again on tuesday night (after contractor no show)and was told they would send a fax to the contractor wednesday another no show. i called first american again and was given another contractor and phone # and another promise. i have not heard from the contractor yet and when i call, again, no answer and no returned calls, no show.
I have been promised a call back from first american on 4 occaisions thus far and have not been called back even once. First american runs a very crappy business.
i regret buying the warranty from first american and any thought of renewing would be stupid. when i asked that the $65 service fee be waived because of the money it has cost my family (missing work to have an adult home waiting for 5 days so far) i was told i would receive a call back in 5 minutes to let me know, i was not called back at all. i called back later a was refused.
your company knows nothing of customer service, you don't keep your promises, and you cost me money needlessly. this does not even cover the inconvenience of having 4 daughters, my wife, and myself trying to live, work, and go to school with one working bathroom. your company sucks and i am going to report you to every b.b.b. and website i can can locate.
