First American Home Buyers Protection Corporation sent out a plumber to fix our toilet. Not long after, the toilet was continually running and the shut off valve on the toilet was not shutting it off.


I estimate I was loosing about a quart of water every 2 minutes.


Calling First American, they said the soonest the vendor who came out, could come out again, would be 4 days. I said, " Are you going to pay for the water bill! " They said, " Sorry sir, we cannot do that."


I complained about their lack of ability to treat this as an emergency, and their response was to try to get someone else to respond within 2 days with no guarranty when they would come.


I threatend to cancel the policy, stop payment on the vendor check, and file a complaint. THEIR RESPONSE? " Here's the fax number where you can canel your policy."


As I am writing, they say they are sending someone out today. No apology.


Their attitude is the problem, the order taker, the supervisor who could not take the time to talk to me, and Kristy, the supervisor who could not grasp that it was the right thing to do to get this done today, since it was their fault, and refused to take care of what would be a huge water bill.


I will cancel this policy quickly!!
