First American Home Buyers Protection Corporation Home Buyers Protection from First American FirstAm Closes Service Request When Problem Still Exist California

FirstAm sent contractor to our home and contractor didn't know how to fix it. Contractor then told FirstAm problem is not covered under home buyers warranty. Did not trust contractor's ethics: they didn't know how to fix, but cash $65 service call fee. Told FirstAm not satisfied with this contractor's work and they sent same company to us but another guy. Guy left saying same thing as the first guy from same company. We called manufacturer of model and they pinpointed exact problem and then we asked FirstAm if that is covered and they said yes, but said we had to pay another $65 service call fee to them again (past 30 day recall policy) after we paid out-of-pocket over $100 to manufacturer's repair guy for second opinion. FirstAm closed our original service request problem when they should have sent another contractor that actually knows how to fix it. We were left with same issue that was never fixed and wanting another payment from us for them to send another contractor this time to diagnose the problem again. Does that make sense? FirstAm stated past 30 days and shows completed. Yes, I felt RIPPED-OFF.
