First American Solutions Scammers West Columbia , South Carolina

I was contacted on 4/12/2012 by this company about a debt I had from 2005 with East Side Lenders. First American Solutions left a voicemail at my parents' house that I was getting sued and that I will be served because of $535.26 that I owe. They could not provide me with any information in regards to my account or their standing as a company. I was transferred several times, first I spoke to Angie, then Mark and they both were very rude and would not really let me say a word. They kept on threatening me that I would get sued.

First American Solutions representatives Angie and Mark were not able to provide me with what exactly does their company do. They informed me that their company is a collection agency and a legal company representing their clients
such as Coastel Credit Services or Solutions (they could not provide the correct name of the collection agency or their client). They encouraged me to call East Side Lenders and get all my account information and standing from them. Therefore, I called East Side Lenders and spoke to Carrie who assured me that I only owed $75 to the company and that the other company was perhaps a scam and I should not pay them anything.

 When I called First American Solutions to provide them with the information from East Side Lenders, they attacked me
with rude comments and big words and told me that they will still come after me and sue me for the $535.23 and that the individual at East Side Lenders was perhaps at a lower level and did not know what they were talking about. At the
same time Mark from First American Solutions kept on using big words and trying to confuse me more about what the company does and he kept on encouraging me to call East Side Lenders and demand to speak to a manager. Also, Mark told me that since the debt was sold by East Side Lenders, they could not collect anymore so even if I pay them the $75, First American Solutions will still collect the $535.23 one way or another. Mark also informed me that I actually owe thousands of dollars but he is doing me a favor by offering me to pay only $535.23. Therefore, I called East Side Lenders again and they told me again that I only owe them $75 and I settled with them.
