Vanessa Dias called and said she was from FIRST APPROVAL BENEFITS and that I had been turned down by another credit card company, and so First Approval Benefits then is given authorization an affiliation with a credit burea to authorize a Mastercard in my name with a 5% interest rate good till 2006 ( she said when my driver license expires.)

I asked who was the provider, bank and institution, and she said my bank was, Wellsfargo, and I would make my payments to Wellsfargo, (of course she asked who I banked with, and told her Wellsfargo.) Vanessa Dias also stated that since they are apart of the credit burea that they are connected to over 500 banks that offer people with turn downs and no credits, a mastercard credit card for a chance to build credit. Vanessa Dias then shared that I also get a second card and I quote "Mastercard Gold Card, and it was gold, and a premier service for Mastercard with a credit limit of $4000.00.) Vanessa Dias then proceeded to tell me that the cards will be sent from this address:

(Vanessa Dias asked me to get a paper and pen, I advised her I was typing as she was talking, and she didn't say anything, I said "Hello" and then Vanessa Dias gave me the following address:
177 Fort Lee, New Jersey 07024. Vanessa Dias then wanted to share about the MasterCard credit card bonus's, Air fare bonus, for ever $1.00 I charge with my WellsFargo Issued Credit Card I would receive .25(cents) toward airfare tickets. (That excited me) Vanessa Dias then shared that I needed to make my payments on time by going to the bank and doing an electric funds transfer, wire the payment, or send a check, or money order to my local bank branch.

Vanessa Dias then proceded to ask me for whom I bank with again, (WellsFargo) and the branch address (I gave in full from my check book, lower left corner by the Wellsfargo Symbol) and check # of 492 / and then the whole Numbers at the bottom of the check, routing + checking account # and check # using of 492 which would be taken out of my account via a debit by First Approval Benefits on 06-27-03, as long as this date was okay, and I could change this date if need be. I looked at the calender and thought, that this would be a good date, 15 days from todays date, (06-18-2003) this phone call took place at 06-18-2003 at 9:30 - 9:50ish)

Vanessa Dias then informed me that she checked my bank account and found it valid, I gave her my drivers license # and full name again, and bank account information for the second time during the talk with Vanessa Dias. Vanessa Dias then said that just for a moment that she had to have the Legal Department Speak to me to verify the information, to make sure no one is being fraudulent with my information. I then asked Vanessa Dias could someone steal the cards and account (just a thought that came when she said I had to talk to her legal department) and she shared no one would have my information.
Vanessa Dias placed me on hold and a John came on the line: he said hello my name is John and I need to verify some information from you.

He said this call is monitored and that I was to answer yes or no to the questions he was going to ask me, I said okay. John said at the end of his verification process if I had any questions then to ask them, I said okay. John said my full name ( I said Yes.) John said my mailing address ( I said Yes.) John then asked me to state my first and last name ( I did, first middle and last.) John asked me to state the bank I bank with, and I did. John asked me to repeat my checking account number, I did) John asked me what check # I would be using, I gave it to him.) At this point I interrupted John and stated I had some questions, so I wouldn't forget at the end of the verification process with this Legal Department.

John then said, you realize that First Approval Benefits is not a financial instituion in any way, I paused - no, I didn't understand, he then said we are not a bank, I said yes) John then said you are receiving a credit repair kit, I said NO! A what! He said nothing, I said John, no one said this, I was told by Vanessa Dias that I would receive 2 seperate Mastercards by my bank WellsFargo, a Regular $2000.00 Mastercard credit card and a second Gold Premium Master card credit card (that was the color gold) for $4000.00) John said, you are getting a $2000.00 Master card credit card plus a card for charge from catalogs and stuff (He said stuff) and I said Stuff!

I then said John, a company not to long ago was on the net, pc, and offered me, a mastercard for 2000.00 and a charge card for a catalog for 4000.00 combined package, for 149.00 and I didn't do it, I didn't quite understand.

I shared that at no time did Vanessa Dias say it was a charge card only or a company charge card for things, stuff, items only. I was told my 2 mastercards are for anything, atms, cash, purchases with a 5% interest and I could have a increase within 60-90 days if I make my minimum payment on time. I then said at no time did Vanessa Dias tell me that this was from my application online with another company, Vanessa Dias said I was turned down by a credit card company I applied for, (I did get turned down about 2 months, with a written letter as to why.)

At no time did they mention I filled this application out for a company doing the same thing that First Approval Benefits is doing now, and that I didn't agree to the debit of my checking account for 149.00, so it never processed. Now USA GOld I first saw when looking to start good credit, and thought I wouldn't buy anything and I would be able to establish credit, that is the only company I contacted with a half form filled out, wiht a refusal not debiting my bank account. So John informed me, I would receive my Wellsfargo MasterCard for $2000.00 dollars like I was told plus a $4000.00 catalog card ( I said charge card - John said yes.) I would receive both (both) cards withing 15 days after they charge the fee of 299.00 on 06-18-2003. John said it's a good start for credit. I said Okay.

John then gave me the customer service phone number again (such as Vanessa Dias did) of 1-866-753-5053 (except Vanessa Dias gave me this number (I typed it exactly - as she spoke the numbers, 1-866-753-503) she repeated it again, the same way with a # missing, I planned on asking the Legal Department for it again. John said I already had the transaction #, and I said no John I do not. John gave me the phone # again, I said John that's the phone #, he then gave me this # 135029V. John said customer service is open from 8am to 4pm Monday - Friday Eastern standard Time ( I am in Nevada - they are 3 hours ahead of me.) John said before I let you go, for a special offer I want to offer you a free voicemail, I cut him off - I shared I have cable / internet digital phone service, that emails me of calls - and #'s and such and it's a nice thing already / John said oh, yeah then you won't need it. John then said goodbye. I said goodbye.

After time thinking about information I didn't understand about my bank being the bank offering thru them my MasterCard(s) and that I pay the bank at my branch directly for my new credit cards, I felt uncomfortable, I went into my computer and pulled up saved sites, because I remembered something didn't feel right before and I didn't buy into USA Gold a try earlier, the processing fee and the amount I was receiving felt odd for someone whom didn't have such great credit.

I phoned my bank and no withdrawals had taken place, and since John informed me if the funds weren't available on 06-18-2003 they would charge me a return check fee for 25.00 (but they had my drivers license number, and everything, I felt scared all of a sudden, because Legal Department John, and Customer Service Representative Vanessa Dias, didn't have the same story. The charge didn't go thru of course as of 2:40pm 06-18-2003 and so I felt safe that I had time to take action and some how find out what to do. Embarressed, that I felt so uncomfortable and giving away, what I feel is all MY INFORMATION without getting 2 credit cards, but one.

I had already been turned down by my bank, Wellsfargo, but was offered a secured card. But Vanessa Dias said they were an affiliate and work with over 500 banks thru the credit bureau, I felt - wow, good luck and a change of pace coming. So before I called the bank to do a stop payment on check 492 I did a search via Google (god I love google, happy for network) I typed in google search in quotes "First Approval Benefits" and no company came up, only links to rip off, and scam report links about First Approval Benefits, and I read the stories and they were the same, except I questioned and was told the same story, but with the legal deparment claiming only one credit card instead of two, as the event is explained above.

So I panicked, call my bank or call First Approval Benefits a call: I decided to call my bank one last time, and no charge had come thru, the time was 2:30pm same day 06-18-2003 and so I thought First Approval Benefits would be closed: but I'll give them a chance, I called the # mentioned above 1-866-753-5053 and the phone rang 3 times and a male voice that sounded just like the legal department man (John I spoke with) same voice, and it said "Welcome to customer service and said to hold on the line for the next customer service representative" I held on the line for over 9 minutes, then a recorder picked up that said to leave a messege for customer service to call back, or to call again later.

I left a detailed messege, I did a search and found to many negative reports against the company, I refuse to have my bank account charged for 299.99 and that I was going to call my bank and do a stop payment and do what ever I could to tell someone about this, and that I strongly suggested and then stated I demand not to participate in any fashion with this company it is full of fraud. I repeated my name twice in full, my phone number in full twice, and the verification number he gave me as my confirmation of credit card process and phone recording session.

No one called within 3 minutes, and I called back same recording, except when the messege came on about leaving a messege or call back, I went to leave a messege and someone said, Hello, and I said Hello, and she said Hello, I said Hi my name is (gave full name) said I was called this morning (she said called this morning) I said yes, this morning around 9:30 and was offered a mastercard for $2000.00 and another type of card, and that I'm to be charged 299.99 and that I found that this company has fraud complaints against them and to cancal the all and any association with this company, the woman agreed and said not a problem,

I verified again my full name and telephone company and the date my checking account was to be charged 06-27-2003 and the amount 299.99 *she found, and said that I was cancaled, everything was cancaled and I would not be charged, and everything was okay, I asked for a confirmation #, she said all I can give you is my name Mary Tierce (I thought she said pierce) and I asked her to spell it about 5 times, she spelled it Tierce and said Mary again. I shred I'm still calling my local branch and anyone I could, because I gave very personal information, and that the information was still misleading, and then reverified as misleading.

I just didn't want anything to do with this company. The only difference is I know who this company is...USA Gold that is the company that is doing the catalog, and they are the ones that I placed an application with, and then stopped when it wanted my checking account information, but they had my email address, and I am taking this into the bank tomorrow morning. Wellsfargo hopefully will be able to send something to our customers, (we pay for it, and hopefully something can be done.) Mary Tierece told me not to worry and I won't be charged and said goodbye, I told her Thank you "Mary" take care.

Then wrote this email. Now to tell my husband when he comes home, and go to the bank in the morning, to stop payment on check 492 and file with the bank, and allow them to do what they need to do. And I'm am upset that CreditCardMall.com is hosting the link to them and being paid to support fraud. I am upset that this place, said they were an affiliate of Wellsfargo plus 500 other banks, and that they are in partnership with the credit burues. I am more pissed, that the voices on the phone, no older then 24, were kind, calm and threw alot of Language around, that is natural for a credit card company to explain, payments, percentage fees, credit card will expiration, and the GOLD mastercard was good for 15-20 or 25 years (per Vanessa Dias.)

I do not know what to do, but I'm a smart woman I thought in many ways, and if I can be gullible, and re ask questions over and over, and still get a lie, then why did I do it? See the other part they don't realize, my home number is not listed, and I hardly give it out, it's a cable, internet phone - I have no phone listening, and my digital phone will not come up what so ever, there are 9 places that have my number, that I have give. ONLY 9. The service is only since Febuary. On the application with USA Gold and then private areas plus the bank that turned me down for a credit card.

I am not sure what to do now. This has got to stop. Someone Help me with USA Gold and with CreditCardMall.com I don't want these companies to corrupt and use and abuse, for money that isn't theirs, and to use the American Financial Industry (FDIC which Vanessa Dias said they were, FDIC affiliation with the Credit Bureau and over 500 banks including WellsFArgo, this can not happen.

You have put yourself at serious risk of Identity Theft, which is now being handled by The Federal Trade Commission at www.consumer.gov. Now with ACH (Account Clearing House) technology, eBusinesses can access your accounts, through your bank ATM machines. When the bank gets a request for funds, it appears in a indiscrimate list, where specific accounts, cannot be identified. If the business has enough information, like the number to your checking account, they can slip into the system. This why you need to treat this whole situation as if it were THEFT. Get a new driver's license NOW. Pay the extra $10 fee, it's worth it. Get a NEW checking account, reissued at your original check number, that you left off at. What I mean is--don't start out with Check number 1#. If you have a good bank, they'll encourage you to do so. Call all of your credit card companies, cell phone, and any others and get new numbers re-issued. Most will be very happy to help you. Most will do this for free, because you're being responsible and saving them time and court costs. If your bank doesn't cooperate, they're weird, get away from them, go to a NEW BANK.

First Approval Benefits has an Unsatisfactroy Report at www.trenton.bbb.org. They are indirectly and allegedly associated with "Credit Card Laundering" white collar crime. They have all of the same address and phone information you shared.

What I found that might help is the Aministrative Contact for creditcardmall.com, the individuals in your initial contact with this company. The Administrators name is: Emanuele Intorrella, email: cardcontract@aol.com, address: 34 Ridgewood Avenue, Hawthorne, NJ, 07506, phone: 973-427-8867, Fax: 775-719-9211 This record will expire SOON in November of this year, so ACT NOW, in reporting this to law enforcement authorities. There may be an ongoing case, and too for your own safety.

Please change ALL of your perosnal information. There are innocent people locked in court RIGHT NOW, being held accountable for $50,000 and more because of a similiar experience.
