In September of 2007 I saw this article in the Las Vegas Business Press Newspaper:

The article shows a picture of Richard Giannini the Vice-President of First Choice Business Brokers standing in front of a Pizza Boy Restaurant he claims to have sold. Because I was selling my business I decided to give him a call for he is qouted as an authority throughout the article. After contacting him I asked him if he was a licensed Real Estate agent which he claimed he was. The First Choice website also states "YOU DESERVE EXPERIENCED LICENSED PROFESSIONALS WHO SPECIALIZE IN BUSINESS SALES."
I had a terrible experience with First Choice and when I tried to file a complaint with the Department of Real Estate in Nevada I was informed Richard Giannini does not have a license to sell Real Estate and there has been other complaints. If you have had trouble with this company contact the Department of Real Estate at 702 486-4033. I was informed it is illegal for Mr. Giannini to lie to people and tell them he has a Real Estate license it is also illegal to sell business' without a license. I made a costly mistake if someone does not have a license they usually have no morals for there license is not in jeopardy. It is easy to check a licensed agent in Nevada go to www.red.state.nv.us and click online lookup. My question is why hasn't Richard Giannini got a Real Estate license after all he is the Vice President of First Choice Business Brokers my quess is he is convicted felon which is 1 reason that would prohibit him from getting a valid Real Estate license which he continues to lie and say he has.

Hello, I am Richard Giannini, President of First Choice Business Brokers International Franchise Headquarters in Las Vegas.
We have now contacted Ms. Betty Txxxxx (the one who wrote the report) and will be filing a lawsuit against her for her statements, which are both untrue and defamatory.
It is correct that I do not have a Real Estate License, and I never have had one. I also have never stated that I do have a license. I also have never sold a business, or stated that I have. In addition I have no criminal convictions of any type in any country, and that is validated in our Franchise Disclosure Document for our franchise, which the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) requires us to disclose as a franchise. It seems this report has a little bit too much conjecture and assumptions.
First Choice Business Brokers is an international organization headed out of Las Vegas of which I am the President and a majority owner. I do not perform business brokering. We also have a franchise in Las Vegas, owned and operated by the co-founder of the company Jeffrey Nyman, he is also the broker of record for that location.
In August 2007, I was asked by the Las Vegas Revue Journal if they could interview me regarding our company, I so agreed. They did a story and it was originally published by the Revue Journal in Sept, 2007. Nowhere in that article does it ever claim I have sold a business, nor does it state I have a Real Estate license. The reprinted article in the Las Vegas Business Press (mentioned in this report) did, incorrectly state, that Richard Giannini, vice president of First Choice Business Brokers in Las Vegas, stands outside a restaurant he recently helped sell. That is not quite true as I did not help sell that business, nor did I state that to the reporter, although First Choice Business Brokers did in fact broker the deal. As a representative and part owner of the International Company I did state to the reporter that our company did assist in the sale of the Pizza Boy restaurant and I was given explicit permission by the new owners of Pizza Boy to say so.

We have been in Las Vegas, as a business brokerage firm since 1994 and last year we past the $3 billion dollars of Las Vegas businesses listed and that is verifiable by our records. Currently over 30% of the business done by our Las Vegas franchise is repeat business you can only do that with high values.
We are not perfect and we do make mistakes. I believe, it's not mistakes which are bad it's how they are handled. If Ms Betty Txxxxx would have simply called either myself or the broker/co-founder Jeffrey Nyman, we would have been (and still are) more than happy to discuss any problems (perceived or otherwise) Ms Txxxxx had with her experience at First Choice. We have over 30 associates working out of the Las Vegas franchise alone and some have been with us for over 12 years again only good solid, positive values can accomplish that. However sometimes mistakes happen, and we have parted company with associates that have not fitted with our values and culture. Likewise we will challenge any allegation that is found to be untrue as is the case with Ms Betty Txxxxx' report here. You will also notice that I clearly state who I am and make no attempt to hide my identity. I stand by who I am, my corporation and our values.
We currently have 18 First Choice Business Brokers franchises across the country with over 100 associates working within the organization, and are now expanding overseas into European markets. We value our integrity and honesty and we are excited to bring a new level and new way of doing business in this industry.
