These all lead you to where you are and switching banks will not make any difference.

You were probably relying on on-line banking instead of a Written Register. The problem with that is that On-Line banking was never meant to replace a Written Register as unlike your register the bank does not know what you have spent until they receive the information. Due to various circumstances(outside of the banks control) that may be anywhere from 1 to several day delay. If you keep a Written Register and never attempt to spend more than you have available, the chances of you over drafting are about zero.
There is also one other item. If you "opted-in" to the Debit Card Overdraft coverage, you need to "opt-out" immediately. When you do anytime you attempt to use your debit card at the ATM or Point of Sale and you do not have enough available it will be declined, thus saving you the Overdraft fee. But remember this doesn't cover Checks or ACH transactions, which is why the Written Register is still important.
Now, if there is some other reason, then add some detail and explain those, along with what their excuses were. Perhaps you could then get some suggestions on how to proceed.
Oh and before you ask.NO I do not work for this or any other bank.
