I was called by a rep. offering a Dell computer, $25,000 credit card and Voice mail service. I was very scepticle of the offer. He informed me that the conversation was being recorded and that gave me a little comfort in case something went wrong, I had something to fall back on. I repeately asked him was I getting a computer. The rep insisted time and time again that I would be getting a computer. He specifically stated that I would be getting a Dell computer (PCU) with a 15inch monitor, mouse, keyboard and speakers. He went on to tell me about the voicemail service. I told him I was not really interested in the that particular services since I already have voicemail. He stated it comes with the packet and I could cancel it at any time. Once I agreed on everything a so called supervisor got on the phone to confirm the agreement. Once again, I asked him was I getting a computer. He told me "yes" I will be getting a computer. He stated that Dell was running a special on some of their older models and they were asked to inforce the special. On 08-20-04, $365 was taken out of my account for mayment of the scam. I was told previously by the rep. that my computer would be shipped as soon as they recieved payment and that it would arrive 7 to 10 days after payment. I waited 3 weeks and called once a week to check the status of my shipment. The kept telling me because of the hurricanes in Florida, the shipment was delayed. I finally got a packet around 10-15-04 of a computer offer. I called the 800 number to question my order they told me I PAID $365 for a "FREE COMPUTER OFFER". I have asked to speak to a supervisor every since that day to play back the recorded conversation. I have been able to speak with a supervisor to this day.
