I called back and Diana answered. I told her I was calling to get the name of the rep that just called and hung up. Diana said that since I wasn't a FPB customer that she couldn't answer that. I told her that I wasn't asking for account specific information (violates FDCPA laws, I was a collector for 10 yrs). I asked for a supervisor and Diana said she is a senior rep in the dept. I asked what her supervisor's name is and she said Heidi. I asked to speak with Heidi and was placed on a very quick hold. Diana came back and said Heidi isn't available but another supervisor by the name of Pam was available.
Pam came on the line and I asked if their company is required to abide by FDCPA guidelines and she said yes. I told her to take a look at the acct and she will see that Debbie made contact yesterday and a message was left. She stated that yes she can see that. I consider this to be harrassment at this point. I explained to her that a rep had just called a hung up when asked where they were calling from. I told her that was unprofessional and just further confirms that they are violating FDCPA laws. I asked Pam for the reps name and she claims she cannot see the reps name only the reps number. She claims the reps supervisor would be able to see the reps name and address the matter. I think that rep needs to be forced to call me and apologize for her rude behavior. I'm certain nothing will be done and they will continue to break the law. I also asked Pam to note the account not to call before 12pm because we have a 5mth old on a random schedule...she claims my husband would have to put in that request...REALLY??? I consider that to be advised you are calling at ''inconvienent times'' per FDCPA...Why do they have to hide behind a ''restricted'' number??? Because they are breaking MANY LAWS!
