First Texas Homes/Gallery Custom homes in the DFW area does not follow through with their warranty. We have been contacting them since March 2012 (three months after purchase of brand new home) regarding the poor drainage and erosion and lack of grass growing in yard. They came out. First, they said the water had to stand for at least 48 hours (actually it is 24 hours per builders warranty); then they said my kids' clay plastic pots that were next to the fence were causing problems with drainage; then it was because the house next to us had to be developed to solve the problem. I finally got them to agree to regrade the yard and re-sod the yard - despite the fact that they had to tell me that it may cost ME to move my kids fort, etc. They re-graded yard finally this summer and took down the fence. Well, the yard still didn't take - and the sod was gone within the week and now it's worse. The water now sits for over 72 hours. They refuse to fix it. They say we are now out of our warranty period - despite the fact that I have sent and re-sent emails to them stating when we first addressed this problem. Then to top the day off, the week they took down the fence- the fence happened to come down in a storm. Poles in a concrete retaining wall literally broke in half, and now the base of the poles are still in concrete. Our fence was the only one that came down. i had insurance agent out to look at it; another fence company and now a handy man - all say the same thing that the construction is shoddy and sub par - builder refuses to even discuss or back their workmanship. Plus they are horrible to work with. The first warranty guy we had never called - he just showed up, and if you weren't at home, I would get voice messages on my cell phone asking me where I was and why I wasn't at home! My appliances have now had to also be fixed after 1 year - drain pump for a 1 year old dishwasher; plus the AC multiple times since we moved in; and my lower oven is also on the floor Obviously, this builder has issues we these things - as per another report filed.
