We are a plumbing, electrical, and HVAC company that has been in business for over thirty years. The technology has changed a lot over the years. Currently we are finding that we suffer from double and even triple data entry as well as the mistakes that go along with it. We were hoping to implement Fishbowl Inventory with QuickBooks Premier. We purchased the 2013 version of Fishbowl Inventory at the end of April. Before purchasing the software we were under the impression that the four one-hour remote training sessions would qualify for the Satisfaction Guarantee that would extend the return policy an extra 120 days. They have since then decreased their "Satisfaction Guarantee" to only extend the return policy an extra 60 days. Fishbowl Inventory does not integrate with QuickBooks as well as it claims to, nor does it allow for a third party QuickBooks add-on to communicate properly with QuickBooks because of how Fishbowl takes over. Unless your company fits into the cookie cutter mold that Fishbowl tailors their product to, but does not mention or allow you more than 30 days to find out, this product is not for your company! We found this out too late according to the return policy of 30 days. Our understanding based on discussions with the Fishbowl Inventory sales representative regarding the Satisfaction Guarantee is not being honored, nor does Fishbowl Inventory respond to any of our attempts to rectify the issue. It is very clear the Fishbowl Inventory does not and will not stand behind their product. They also seem to have a way of conveniently making sure their customers go past the 30 day return policy before finding out how terribly Fishbowl Inventory integrates with QuickBooks. The training team did not contact us until they sent an email well past the 30 day return window. Fishbowl Inventory seems to be able to get away with their dishonest practices by simply ignoring their dissatisfied customers. Our company would not have been in business for over thirty years if we treated our customers the way Fishbowl Inventory does. Clearly the Fishbowl Inventory software is not as good of a product as they want people to believe, because they will not even stand behind their own product with a decent return policy.
