Fitness USA Don't Leave A Card Number For Reference! South Bend, Indiana

Recently my father and I attempted to sign up for a gym member ship at Fitness USA in South Bend, Indiana. The sign on the building was very misleading as it stated that it would only cost $10 a month for a membership. However upon attempting to sign up they tried to stick us with almost $100 in sign up fees. As there was nothing on the sign about start up fees I initially felt as though I had been misinformed and ripped off.

However we finally caved in and payed the outrageous fees just so we could simply work out that day. However the forced us to leave a credit card number as a "reference" which we did not want to do. Reluctantly we did so.

However a few months down the road, we were extremely displeased with the gym hours and days we were able to work out as well as the employees customer service and we decided to cancel the membership. We were assured that the membership was canceled, however they still used the credit card number we had left to bill us for two more months after we had cancelled!
