actually the company you speak of make no profit wether you pay or not they simply give you the information and except payments on behalf of the government and the government will not except less than what you owe considering the taxpayer paid off what you owe there is no statue of limitation but if you successfully pay on your debt for 25yrs any remainder is forgiven obviously your 25yrs too late for that they dont garnish you themselves but if you refuse to cooperate they advise the government and they begin to garnish and take your taxes and wont stop until the full balance has been paid hopefully the amount theyre taking is enough to cover the constant rising penalties and int if not you can stay owing this bill fir the rest of your life your solution is to cooperate with them and theyll give you arrangment to at least keep the government out of the picture you can always pay the government something to keep them off but ignoring them only makes it worst good luck

A collection agency has no right to threaten your bank account or take your car away. If they ask for your bank account# refuse to give and if they come for your car refuse to surrender the keys and the title. 1 threatened to do that to me awhile back I called them and told them flat out if you take my car I will refuse to give you the keys and the title and there is not a damn thing you can do about it. I even talked to a lawyer and he told me since I paid cash that the collector cannot take my car if he did I can have him charged for GTA.

If this collection agency calls again tell them they have no right to call you at your place of employment and harrass you about a debt then hang up . If they call again refuse to take the call .Now when 1 asks me for my work # I refuse to give it.
A while back I had a phone that had a speaker and hold button at my residence when 1 if those clowns would call I would hit the speaker button with out saying a word I hit the hold button

5 years ago I also had my bank account and car threatened by a collection service, I called and made a complaint directly to the department of education but they did nothing about it.
