#1 UPDATE Employee

Ford Credit Complaint Response/Corrupt Companies

AUTHOR: Donna - (U.S.A.)

I work for Ford Credit and fail to see what Ford Credit has to do with this issue.

Ford Credit itself CANNOT take any monies out of a customer's bank account unless they have a signed release or EFT form on file authorizing the monthly payments to be taken..Period.

If you are talking about the Dealership, they are a separate entity and are generally not owned by Ford's headquarters or parent company. They are owned by an individual who sells Ford's products, i.e. vehicles, parts and services, and are authorized by the parent company to sell those products. They have strict guidelines for dealers.

Ford Motor Company has a complaint process they use for consumer's to make or file complaints against any dealership who isn't dealing with it's customer's in a reasonable and fair manner and there is a team who investigates each complaint. I would call the service center that handles your account and ask for the toll free complaint line for Ford's headquaters and also put your complaint in writing and mail it to Ford's headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan, forward a copy to the dealership, your local consumer complaint division or Better Business Bureau and your state division of Automotive Licensing or whatever state office handles automotive complaints in your respective state Your State Attorney General may also have that information.

In defense of Ford Credit, we only handle payment issues as they relate to your inability to make those payments as agreed and have a variety of ways to assist you.

If you, possibly, issued a check for payment of a monthly payment for your vehicle and that check did not clear your bank, any creditor has the right to attempt to recover that payment by resubmitting it to the bank where issued until that payment is replaced or they can forward it on for collection to an in-house department or an outside agency if needed.

If they (the dealership or whoever it is) have a signed check you will hard-pressed to prove you didn't sign it and issuing any check if funds are not available COULD be a felony in your state.
