I took my truck in a week or so for an oil change and wash. While I was waiting, the lube technition came up to me and told me that the wash guys had damaged both of my power retractible side view mirrors. He told me this prior to going to the manager with it so that, in his words, "they wouldn't try to not take responsibility for it." After 3 hours, I finally got to speak with the manager who told me that looking at the video survellience, they didn't physically see anyone touch the mirrors, but that you can see at least one of them had been moved. He explained that he would notify the operations manager, Ignacio Cluff, and have him call me on Monday. After no call, and leaving several messages, I received a return call from Ignacio who told me to take it to their body shop Chandler Auto Body, who would try to repair or provide an estimate. He also went on to say that they wanted me happy and would take care of it. The mechanic at the body shop said it was obvious that the mirrors had been forced in and that they could not be repaired. The shop manager provided an estimate for nearly $1,000 and said he would forward a copy to Ignacio. Again, after a day of no calls and several messages being left for Ignacio, he finally returned my call. Ignacio told me that in the video, you can tell that at least one mirror was working and that since the video didn't show anyone physically touching the mirror, they would not pay for it. I would say that if it had been $20 or $30, they would have taken care of it....once they seen they damaged $1,000 worth of mirrors, it was a different story..these people are crooks....I would stay as far from thesee criminals as possible..as far as I am concerned, it isn't over yet!
