Frank C. Lasley Exhibit & Design Production, Inc. Failure to pay in full for services rendered. Groveland, Florida

Exhibit & Design Production, Inc. ("EDP"), which is based out of Groveland, Florida, is an exhibit builder in the trade show industry.

EDP contracted Spectrum Show Services ("Spectrum") to install and dismantle exhibits that EDP built for its clients for the October 2012 Pack Expo show in Chicago, Illinois. The total invoice issued by Spectrum to EDP for labor and materials relating to the Pack Expo show was $73,667.70. There is no apparent dispute over the labor or materials provided by Spectrum.

Prior to the show, EDP paid a deposit of $15,000. About 45 days after the show ended, EDP paid another $20,000 leaving a balance due of $38,667.70. As of today, February 11, 2013, the balance due remains unpaid. Spectrum's terms with EDP are 30 days so the invoice is more than 60 days past due.  

Spectrum has tried to contact Mr. Frank C. Lasley, President of EDP, on numerous occasions to understand what Mr. Lasley's intentions are with respect to the remaining amount due. Unfortunately and disappointingly, Mr. Lasley has decided not to return any phone calls or e-mails.

Instead, Spectrum has come to understand that EDP is no longer operating and that Mr. Lasley and his two sons, Brian V. Lasley and Michael S. Lasley, have started a new business called Display Technologies, LLC also located in Groveland, FL. The new business provides similar, if not identical services, to EDP.

In essence, EDP is trying to abandon its debt to Spectrum and who knows how many other vendors, yet Mr. Lasley has the audacity to start a new business in the same industry, seemingly in an attempt to avoid past debts. How many more vendors and customers will Frank C. Lasley and his companies continue to rip-off in this manner? Mr. Lasley must be stopped and cannot be allowed to perpetuate this type of behavior.
