Frederick Hanna ignored my letters requesting validation of debt and served me with a summons to appear in court. They attached a bunch of documents to intimdate and confuse me. I consulted with an attorney and they confirmed that what was attached as "proof" was no proof at all and he helped me with my answer to the court. On court day I represented myself and met with one of Hanna's attorneys as required by the judge before trial (to see if we could come to an agreement). I told the attorney I was not interested in negotiating and that every document sent to me was hearsay. I told the attorney I was ready to go before the judge. Other people filed in after me, signed a consent form (agreeing to pay the debt) and they were allowed to leave. There was only one other person who refused to sign a consent and we both waited until the end of the day before it was our turn to go before the judge for trial. The judge told us that our cases were Voluntary Dismissed!! We did NOT have to present our case at all. The Hanna attorney knew they did not have the documents needed to prove I owed the debt to Midland Funding. They did however intimidate 6 other people who showed up and consented to pay the debt and another 5 or so who didn't even show up for court. That is an automatic judgement against them. Never ignore a summons! You can WIN against Hanna!!
