NISSAN ULTIMA 3.5 SR A LEMON NIGHTMARE !!
A work friend of mine bought his car back in June 2012 and experienced nothing but headaches from day one with cars remote ignition and control system. He is a thorough, intelligent professional who provides a very high level of customer service in his daily job as a retail sales associate, so this is not one of your random-unqualified customer complaints about a car dealership !
Short history of his experience as follows:
7-20-12: tried to start car, took 3 times to start. Engine service light came on.
7-21-12: took to Frederick Nissan service center. Car was put on computer and numerous codes came up on screen. Tech cleared codes, and then drove 10 miles, checked out OK.
7-22-12: went to store. One mile from store, warning light came on dash no key. Was in front of car, would not stop running. Drove home, had to pull fuse from fuel pump control to stop car. Had to pull positive battery cable to turn off dash lights.
7-23-12: Took car back to Frederick Nissan svc center. Told GM, Steve Farley to give me a new car as I felt car was a lemon, problem was not solved by service center and I could not drive the car I paid for with confidence that I would not get stranded on the road.or worse. Steve said he could not comply because once a car is taken, it is now a used car.
7-26-12: Picked up car from dealer, checked out OK leaving lot.
7-27-12: car was making noise, took back to Nissan service center and asked Steve Farley again for new car and he again refused.
8-6-12: picked up car from dealer and informed them again that I was not pleased with the car and wanted a replacement.
As a result of this problem and the fact that dealer has not fixed the problem to ensure it will not happen again (thereby putting the customer at risk on the road), the customer has repeatedly demanded a new car which is a more than reasonable demand at this stage and the right thing for the dealer to do to satisfy (and attempt to keep) a valued good customer who spent a hefty sum for this LEMON!! Dealer lamely offered to buy my friend off with offer to pay one or two car payments in hopes he would just go away..HES NOT LOOKING FOR A FREEBIE GUYS.HE SIMPLY WANTS A CAR HE CAN RELY ON ..THATS IT !!
BUYERS BEWARE DEALING WITH FREDERICK NISSAN ! DO NOT BUY THIS VEHICLE .SHAME ON FREDERICK NISSAN. SHORT TERM, CHEAP APPROACHES LIKE THIS WILL SINK YOUR DEALERSHIP IN THE LONG RUN.ESPECIALLY IN SUCH A TOUGH ECONOMY! WAKE UP GUYS.DO THE RIGHT THING !!

Also, sorry but you slipped up...you are in fact not writing about a "work friend". Which since you can't even write the report about that truthfully..one has to wonder what else you are being less than truthful about. Oh and where did you slip up....
Well first there is way too much detail for just a "friend". Next you had statements such as this one which blew your cover...
7-23-12: Took car back to Frederick Nissan svc center. Told GM, Steve Farley to give me a new car as I felt car was a lemon,
8-6-12: picked up car from dealer and informed them again that I was not pleased with the car and wanted a replacement.
You can look at the link below from the State of MD to determine if YOUR car qualifies.

If for some reason the link is redacted you can just search MD Lemon Laws.
