I signed up for my free credit report on freecreditreport.com. The only thing that they don't tell you about your free credit report is that it isn't free. In fact it has ended up costing my close to $50.00 and would have cost me much more had I not caught it early. See, Freecreditreport.com just doesn't give you a credit report, it gives you a whole membership full of exciting features and unlimited access that you don't even know you're signing up for. And to make the bliss of having your credit report at your finger tips even better they give your information out to other credit report agencies affiliated with them; inadvertently signing you up for memberships you never even knew you had. And then one day, if you're lucky like me, you look at you bank statement online and realize that you have been charged $19.95 for one credit report agency and $14.95 for the other. You call to find out what the hell has happened and they tell you you're signed up for a monthly premium service, that would have charged you every month for the service you never knew you had. The funny thing was that I called two different numbers for two "different" credit report agencies: Triple Advantage (877-4816825) /Experian Credit Info (866-5067894) that both led me back to an answering machine for Freecreditreport.com. Coincidence? I think not.
Freecreditreport.com you can have your fancy TV jingles and read-between-the-lines business, but my business you will never have. And I think many people including, the Better Business Bureau, will agree...this is a rip-off.

How could you NOT know you were enrolling in their credit monitoring service?
You were notified TWICE that it was a trial period and that if you didn't cancel your membership your account would be charged. They have had the following notices on their website for a year that I know of:

To get their version of a Free credit report you have to sign up for their credit monitoring service for a monthly fee and it is stated on their website
