This is my story and I hope whoever reading this has not fallen for the same scam...

I was searching for an English Bulldog and stumbled across a few NJ Classified ads for free pups. I sent msgs inquiring as to whether these pups were still available and under what conditions, etc... I was very interested. A man named "Roland Tuma" responded, along with a "Mark Smith" and "Edward Brown."

All sent adorable photos of pups claiming they were leaving the country, moving, took a new job, couldnt deal with the responsibilities, sick grandma, etc etc... and they "just wanted to make sure the pup went to a good, safe, loving home..."

I was THRILLED because these are very expensive pups in my area (NJ/NYC) and really wanted to surprise my fiance who put off getting a puppy to pay for our wedding...
So after I put my excitement aside and started talking business, I asked Roland to call me because I had a TON of questions. I'm no fool and wanted to make sure this was all legit, this puppy was healthy, registered, etc, and I was very curious as per who and what airline/company he'd be using because I wanted to contact them and make sure this was all true and legit. He called from a private number and answered all my questions claiming that this pup was perfectly healthy etc etc he confirmed that he didnt want money but simply to pay for the airfare. He also said he was very impressed with all my questions and that he knew the puppy would be in good hands. Then he said he was in Alaska.... After sitting on that for a moment... I remembered the original ad saying he lived in NJ... I thought this was odd....

So then he sent me an email sayin he was taking the puppy to the shipping place right then and there and never waited or asked any confirmation from me... Within minutes I recieved an email from a very poorly constructed fake email with colors and pictures of dogs saying to go to my post office and western union them $150 to London... then further down it said Cameroon. I knew right then and there that something was terribly wrong. This "company" was called Pet Flight.

So from NJ we went to Alaska, London, then Cameroon. This awful email contained pictures of pups in crates on a plane, being taken out of a vehicle, held and snuggled, all by people with different Tshirts and company logos on their trucks/crates/etc... These pics were obviously copied from REAL companies.

I lovingly looked again at the two pictures he had originally sent me of the pup and upon closer observation, realized that they were two different pictures of two completely different puppies!!! One had a tiny patch just around his left eye, the other had all over the right side of his face!! So I immediately emailed him back saying that something was very wrong and I needed to speak to him.

Some time went by and I didnt hear back so I called the INTERNATIONAL phone number from the email I recieved from "Pet Flight." Who picks up the phone, ROLAND!!!!

He hung up as soon as he realized it was me inquiring about the company/puppy and that I was angry. Within a minute another private number called back from some guy who was confirming my puppy there and I had to send them this money and bla bla bla.... "There was an outgoing flight in one hour and I could have my puppy tomorrow!!"

IN THE MEANTIME I was online looking up Pet Flight and came across a real website telling all about this scam. I also found Ripoff Report and read the same thing happen to several others so I quickly wrote back to both the fake company and Roland that I was onto their scam and they weren't getting a penny from me.

The company wrote back that if I didnt send them their money they'd call the cops and the FBI... THE COPS AND THE FBI?!?!?!?!? I laughed hysterically at him saying that he SHOULD call the cops because I had a few things to say to them as well!! He said some nasty things and I told them all to go to hell. THEN he wrote me that they were a "government company and that I should mind my words because they have all my information and they will get me..."

So ontop of the scam they tried to pull, they threatened me. I soon after recieved another email saying that there was a massive confusion because their website was under construction and that management would contact me very soon to sort everything out and they apologized for everything. Shortly after I recieved YET ANOTHER email from "pet flight" saying that I owed them $60 for holding the pup for the food/care they had given while in their custody. I just keep deleting their emails though I am still recieving emails from Roland that he has no idea what I am talking about and that he wants me to have this puppy because it needs a loving home etc etc... and all I need to do is pay for shipping....

As for the other two, Mark Smith & Edward Brown, I simply responded to their pushy emails telling them I was no longer interested in their puppies and haven't heard back since. Mark also pulled the whole, "I'm taking him the shipping place right now" plea.

Needless to say I was left devasted in the end, even though I didnt lose any money. I had my heart set on surprising my wonderful fiance with a puppy and really had my heart and hopes high. I was left with no surprise, no baby, and a very sad heart.

So to all you innocent folk, I am so sorry if you did lose money or were hurt by these creeps. I am very hurt as well and wish nothing more than to move on from this experience.

Hope this helps someone out there... God Bless xoxo

Hello.  I don't know what this complaint is about. It must be about another company.

I do not sell dogs,

I sell products for dogs. So I'm not sure what the customer is taking about.  He clearly must have me confused with someone else.

I do Not and have never sold dogs in any way shape or form

Thank you

This is not our organization. We do not breed, sell, transport dogs in any fashion.

We sell items to working dogs.

Thank you
