I was applying on the internet for a personal loan with bad credit at several web sites and filled an application for Freedom Financial Lenders. On June 17 I received a message from Travor Roger at 866-895-0717 stating I had been approved for a 5000.00 loan. So I called back and he explained to me that I needed to secure the loan in 3 ways, insurance policy of 498.93, my car if I owned it or 4 prepaid payment in the amount of 661.52. I told him that I didn't think I could do that I would have to think about it. So that night I talked to my son, we discussed the options and some questions I had. He advised me to get answers to my questions and then decide from there. So I called Mr. Rogers back and a woman answered. She said he was on another line but I could hear someone talking in the background, like it was in the same room. He call me back on 6/18 and I asked if the 498.93 was for the full 3 year term on the loan or if it was a yearly amount. He stated that it was for the full 3 years. I then asked if I paid that amount was I guaranteed the loan of 5000.00. He said yes, most difinitely. I said that I would have to borrow the money and would get back to him. Mr. Roger stated that I would send no money up front because we had to do the paperwork first. Mr. Roger stated that I needed to fax him at 1-877-844-8441 with my I.D., proof of resident (mail) and copy of paystub to start the procedure. I told my son this and he said it sounds to good to be true. I stated that I wanted to begin the paperwork but I first wanted to check on line to make sure this wasn't a scam or that I would be ripped-off and I was glad I did. The first sign was when I searched for the site, a rip-off statement showed up but it was a different phone number and contact. I didn't stop there, I went to your site and there it was. It is a different phone number but the contact name is the same and the procedure is a bit different. In closing I want to advise all potential customers out there to be aware, if it is too good to be true then changes are it is scam. I am now in additional debt because I borrowed the money but I will figure out how to repay back. I am just thankful that I didn't lose the money altogether. I am having trouble making ends meets now this would have meant additional scarifices that I can't really afford. Brenda, Sacramento, Calfiornia
