I have 'bought' a property with FSL. I paid a 7,000 deposit on a flat at Empress Mill, a specific apartment number which had great views and top floor status. The contract came through with a bottom floor flat on the opposite side of the development. They told my solicitor that it had been sold to someone else. I refused to buy and FSL will not issue a refund. During this time I received a cold call from their sales team. I played along as if I hadnt heard of the company and asked them for some specifics on Empress Mill. During the conversation I was offered the aparrment I had originally reserved but I had to move as it was the 'last one'. They are clearly taking multiple people's money for one apartment and refusing to repay. This whole process started in July 2011. They promised Empress Mill would be finished in 16 months (November 2012) and the project has not even started yet. I live nearby so see it regularly. My advice is clear..... DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE CRIMINALS.
