Our Company booked several shipments though a third party broker (Frightquote.com) to ship LTL fright across the country. Many of the shipments were fine but some were overarched and incurred fees that were not to our doing. Frightquote.com reps said that the fees were not them charging but were the fright companies. When we analyzed the invoices many of the charges were due to reweighing of the pallets. When compared to the quoted weight and invoiced weight we found that the invoiced weight was lower ie not what we quoted. When the pallet is reweight the fright company charged frightquote which was passed on to us.

This circumstance only points to the fact that the shipment weight was intentionally lowered by frightquote reps to reap the difference between the costs. Secondly, in some cases the shipment was delivered to a commercial business as quoted but when we were invoiced they charged us residential and litigate fees which were not requested, needed nor used. 

It is obvious that frightquote.com reps changed what was quoted when they book the shipment and pass on the difference to company coffers. Some shipments get though without a problem but others don't. And when the shipments does not go through and the original fright company or forwarder reweighs or in any
way discovers the discrepancy YOU are going to pay. 

If you dont believe me then book the shipments and just pay attention to the invoice that you get.
