Ok folks, this is not a ripoff report. But yet a cry out for help. I started working for frys almost 5 years ago. My starting wage was $8.25 per hour A pretty decent starting wage. Over minimum wage is good. Although what im about to tell you, is going to shock you. Over my almost five years with frys, I have seen and endured the most frightening and unsanitary work environments ever. And the frosting on the cake, constant harrasment from upper management. Not being able to get days off to get.screened for possible cancer in my lymphnodes. To top it off I was threatened bodily harm by my department manager. On the clock, told upper management and they laughed, like it was a joke. I currently cut meat on dangerous equipment that can take alimb off. And have been for 3 years at 11.00 per hour. They lied and promised me.mentorship and promotions to make a good living. Now I have two slipped discs in my back that they are aware of. And they still make me lift around 30 to 40 cases of meat carcus. Ranging from 50 lbs all the way to 85lbs or more everyday. Knowing that I can further injure my back they do nothing to help. they gave me a back brace, ...really. I have witnessed helth inspectors walk through our meat dept wich is a health hazard all together. And say everything looks good here!! Well I have had persistant direa and naseua for three months. And all my food, I buy from work. Im sick I think from the environment I work in. lung and stomach complications are my symtoms. Let me tell you..people I did a couple years behind bars when I was a younger .This place is just as filthy and so ill managed it makes me sick writing this. Do not and I repeat do not buy seafood , anything like fried chicken or rotissere chicken from the deli. also im getting sceptical of things I have seen inside of meat that I cut. I have seen puss like pockets in chuck roll that comes into frys quite fuently. This Is not a lie, I will swear under oath as god my witness. This is just not right, not right at all!
