As soon as I say your report of a "'rip off'', I went to Funtonia's site myself and found the terms you claim they ''don't tell you about'' within about 7 seconds. If you go to the bottom of the main page, you'll find a link to ''terms'', and lo and behold, look what you find!
http://www.funtonia.com/terms.asp
Begin quote:
4.1 A customer paying by credit card warrants that he/she is the cardholder or has the permission of the cardholder and that the billing information provided is accurate. Funtonia does not issue refunds claimed because of inaccuracies represented by the purchaser. By approving the purchase of the product, you authorize Funtonia to charge the Card for the purchase.
4.2 To purchase a membership, you must complete the registration process by providing all the information requested. Price: most Recommend! $23.88 for our yearly subscription of unlimited downloads to three individual phone numbers! - And $17.97 for three-month subscription of unlimited downloads to a single phone number in one time charge. We do not charge per month or per ringtone. There will be no rebilling. You will have to make the act of renew by your self - This will not be an automatic action by Funtonia Team.
End quote
Seems pretty up front to me.
Also, it's simply NOT possible for the site to send you a ''virus'' to your phone. There are far too many proprietary operating systems for far too many different cell phones for anyone to be bothered making a virus for any particular model, let alone taking the time to actually sending one out. You're talking out of your ass on that one.
If you're going to participate in an online purchase, instead of making a knee-jerk impulse purchase, look around the site for just a few seconds, use your eyes and brain and look for the terms of sale/service before you get yourself butthurt and start BAAAWWWWing about how you think you were rooked, then begin spewing drivel that just makes you look like an unintelligent moron, since finding the info you *claim* wasn't ''told'' to you was so drop dead easy to find, OK?
Soon companies are going to have to pander to foolish people who can't locate and read terms & conditions and provide audio streams of their terms and conditions for those too stupid or lazy to take the precious seconds to actually read the things themselves... Even then, some hapless twonk will screw even THAT up by saying they didn't hear it right.
Long story short: This isn't a scam or a rip off and you FAIL... HARD.
