Upon first contact by any bottomfeeder, IMMEDIATELY send a CEASE COMMUNICATIONS request, as per your right under FEDERAL LAW, the FDCPA.
Send this letter by certified mail, return reciept requested. Be sure to put the certified# on the letter itself, and keep a copy for your records. This is very important as it proves what you sent.
Now, when they violate, you sue them for the FDCPA violation. You can get up to $1000 in statutory damages, plus actual damages and legal costs.
Might as well get paid for your time and aggravation, right?
Also go to FTC.gov and file an online complaint separately for each violation.
