G.C. Services Limited Partnership; Collection Agency Division Calls my cell all hours and even my Mother San Antonio, Texas

I have been bomb-barded with calls on my cell and at all hours, from this company. I understand that a loan is to be repaid from the car finance company and i understand that a collection agency is only doing their job. Why can't they get it thru their heads that stuff happens and if people don't have money, then they don't have money.

My husband and I bought a new car in 2008. I was laid off later that year and then he was laid off Janurary of 2009. We had a choice of making a car payment or house payment at that time and I sometimes alternated so that everyone was getting something. Guess the finance company didn't want to play along. We called them to see if we could get our payment down or atleast do half payments until we could get back on our feet. Guess they didn't want to do that either cause it was taken.

We are getting back on our feet, slowly but getting there  and now GC Services Limited Partnership sent us a nice letter offering a settlement. We can pay 60% of the total amount due and all at once. Plus we have no car. No one wanted to work with us in the beginning (finance company) so why do I want to pay for a car that is not in my possession.

Give my car back and we'll gladly go for the settlement offered. All we are asking is for someone to work with us and to stop the calls. You're not going to get money out of me that way, especially with only one income. The way I figure. When I get on my feet, get a car and a job, then you'll get some money.
