G.C. Services Limited Partnership I paid my bill but the company didn't do nothing as far as taking it off my credit report. Houston Texas

I paid my bill after being bothered for I don't know how long. Its been amost 4 months now the report is still on my credit profile as not being paid. I talked to the people that used them and they say they are paid. Why is it that they are so fast to put things on your credit report but so slow in taking it off. I think there should be a law that gives them so much time to get it off. If they don't they have to pay the person for the bad credit that it is costing them. They use credit reports for car insurance and so forth so if you have bad credit you pay more for it. I do not think this is fair to the consumers.
