My American Express account was taken over by GC Services. I then, received two separate bills -- one from American Express and one from GC services. The amounts and due dates were different/varying which made managing the account confusing. A payoff amount was finally quoted and I paid off the bill only to receive another bill for a late fee of 35.00. Because the final payment was mailed in a timely manner, I disputed the amount. The rep said it was 24 hours late or processed one day late and to forgive the charge, I would have to contact Am Express - which resulted in a circle of finger-pointing and "That's not accurate Maa'm" in terms of who could consider waiving an addtl. bogus late fee. I feel the late fee should be forgiven due to the confusing nature of the billing as well as the circle-calling - "Call Am Express," "Call GC Services" I was referred to for a frustrating non-solution.
I would like the fee remitted.
