GE-Zurich Component is now "accessory", translate as a "You're not covered" ripoff Rapid City South Dakota

I was informed that the frestanding "ice machine, General Electric" listed on my contract would not be repaired because the drain pump (purchased as a GE part from a GE authorized dealer)that failed was a Whirlpool part. When I pointed out the the ice maker itself is manufactured by Whirlpool and then branded as GE I was refered by the agent to the "Service Management Department" who told me the same thing, but when challenged about the manufacturer, I was informed that my claim would now be declined because the pump was an accessory!

If I had purchased a Whirpool ice maker, I could have ordered the unit with the drain pump (that is required for operation of the unit if you do not have a proper floor drain) installed at the factory. But GE only sells the pump separately, and requires installation in the field.

Since the drain pump is GE supplied and there is a place inside the ice maker specifically designed to mount this exact pump and since the pump is integral to the proper operation of the ice maker for the use for which it was manufactured and sold, you can ad me to the apparently long list of those ripped off by GE-Zurich
