If they called the ins co they would be told they are waiting on their insured (who was at fault) to call in.

Meanwhile your life is upside down. Expecting compensation for this is not unusual - too many people just roll their eyes - but don't feel your pain which can affect you for life. Pain and suffering is legal reparations - stop assuming everyone wants something for nothing. Some do, but that is just as bad as drs assuming you are a drug seeker because you are in paint aren't bleeding.
