POSTED: Sunday, July 26, 2009I HAD A MORTGAGE WITH GMAC. WHEN COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO, I REQUESTED A MODIFICATION, THIS IS WHAT THEY DID FOR ME:
THEY LOWERED MY LOAN APR RATE TO 1.3% , AND AS A RESULT MY MONTHLY PAYMENT WAS LOWERED TO $1144.66 FOR FIVE YEARS.
NOW THIS IS THE GOOD PART. OUT OF THAT AMOUNT $800.00 GOES TOWARD REDUCING MY PRINCIPAL. YES THIS IS NOT A TYPO. PRINCIPAL. IN OTHER WORDS DURING THE NEXT FIVE YEARS, I AM GOING TO LOWER MY PRINCIPAL ABOUT $48000.00 . NONE MY FRIENDS BELIEVE THAT UNTIL I SHOW THEM MY MONTHLY BILL. THESE PEOPLE ARE THE BEST.
I WISH THEM GOOD LUCK AND I AM SURE THEY WILL BE A SUCCESSFUL MORTGAGE COMPANY WHO WILL BE AROUND FOR ANOTHER 100 YEARS. THANKS GMAC.
PS: I DID NOT KNOW AND NEVER KNEW ANYONE IN THAT COMPANY. NEVER WORKED FOR THAT COMPANY, OR HAD ANY AFFILIATION WITH ANYONE ASSOCIATED WITH THAT COMPANY.
