I bought a new Goodman 4 ton heat pump, to replace the old goodman at my home. Within 20 days it stoped working. I had the contractor come to my home. He discovered that the cooling coils were defective and leaked R 22 freon into our home, All 17 lbs of it. When i contacted Goodman they have danced all around their warranty. ( look it up) I had to repair it on my own at a cost of $ 525. They paid for the new part, however, it cost me $92 for freight. Now I suffer lung problems, been to hospital and 3 different Doctors. Wife has cough that she never had. To me it was like living in a gas chamber.If this r22 can hurt the ozone what about humans? We are in our late 60's. We are going to sue for product libility.

If you purchased the unit from goodman thru the internet and had it shipped to you. YOU HAVE NO WARRANTY.
However if you went thru a licensed A/C contractor then you have warranties.
